The 182 is a better car in general terms, but unless you can get one dirt cheap and get a good price for you r172, Its not worth the cash imho. Youd be better off improving the suspension and tweak the engine a little on your current car.
CTR is a cracking motor. nearly bought one when I got the 172. Just couldnt get my head around the way it looks, or the poxy steering.
Theyre not as shy of torque out of VTEC as some people seem to think. Very useable at lowish revs imho, and I thought it handled pretty well - less twitchy...
Well said that man. It does appear though that the good Cups are quite a bit quicker than the good 172s.... Most standard good Cups get what, 14.5s on th 1/4 from whst Ive seen on here.... whereas the good 172s get 14.7/8, so theres definitely a difference.
As Mark correctly states though, on...
Sorry fella, you raise some interesting points, but your talking b****cks. yes there is a difference. On paper the Cup is faster. In the real world, these cars are so varied in power straight from the factory that it just depends on whether or not you get a good one. My 172 used to slowly creep...
Theyre f**king useless eben if theyre aimed in the right place. If a high pressure hose cant shift the bugs on my headlights, what chance have those farty little things got? I could piss faster!!
I think there must have been some kind of VX meet a few months back as about 5 of them drove through my village. They look absolutely stunning imho, and Id pick one over a Cup any day of the week. Im considering one for my next car....
Oh and first dibs on the engine cover Jay!!
Possible earth fault? Car electrics certainly do some funny things. As KDF says, its probably a fault from the rear of the car. Check as much of th wireing as you possibly can.
Other than that, I take there is some kind of UCH/computer that controls these functions.... could have bee damaged...
Sit tight then bad, hes right Ill tell thee!!
I though the same, mainly because I preferred the Cups colour.
In the end, I gave my 172 the Cup look for a total cost of about £250. Sold my 172 wheels, bought some Turinis, bought a Cup splitter of a mate for £20 and a Cup spoiler for £170...
Good effort for your first shop dude.... only problem with making cars look like they are moving from a still pic, is that your car has no driver!! Easiest way out of this is to tint the windows...
The 182 Cupped/Cup are an improvement over the 172, but not much. I considered the change, but after test driving one, and working out how much money it would cost, I decided it simply wasnt worth it. And I hate the cosmetic changes like the seatbelts, seats and headlight covers. And I dislike...
