Heard nothing but good about the Alpine units. The fact they also look really nice is a bonus too. wazza, the shelf I have is a professionally made job. Although quite how professional MDF and carpet can be is beyond me, but it's pretty well made.

Don't think yuou'll save that much weight, but it depends what seats you get. if you get some CF jobbies than yes you will save quite a bit....!! If i was tuning a cup and had upto a grand to spend, it would be IK + decat, Zorst and GrpN ECU/BBtuning ECU etc. There are Cups on here that...

I can appreciate that you'll get better sound from a round speaker compared to an oval one. Yeah, the holes are already in the shelf.... I bought it second hand.

Sound stage? It this because they will be positioned in the back of the car ie behind the driver? I know your better off having a decent set of components up front, but as I said, I'm not taking my dash off and I really don't want to spend much. I just want a little more mid/bass.
