PMSL. Middle Class Chavs. Brilliant.
Mind you, I live in a reasnobly affluent are myself - They'd have put the flour bag in the bin too. Only difference is they'd have set fire to the f**ker first!!
RE exhaust issue - My local dealer just replaced my centre section on my exhaust. They most certainly wouldn't have done this if it wasn't covered by warranty.
RE windo creaking - mine does this - it's been in twice and all they say is "No problem found, window mech lubricated" and it's back...
Who's on there high horse?? I only really ever hear people say good things about the VTS on here. It's image is a different kettle of fish entirely.
The 172 is a quicker car, but by very little.
Once my zorst is done, my missus is giving me the money for a remap and inlet manifold work for chrimbo from HillPower
You pleased with yours then Mattie?
There's really not a great deal in it.
The TypeR in my experience at least, is quicker above 100, but below that it's pretty close.
LOL @ that video.... Can you get away with driving like at track days in this country??!!
If Tiff was really trying, the 172 would have got owned. lol.
They're quick little f*****s those VTS. Theres on local to me who I couldn't shake off - and it's only git i/k and zorst. Such a shame about the image.
The paint code on my Iceburg mk2 172 is MV640. Be warned however that Iceburg Silver has 5 different variants or revisions. I had to match mine by eye ( with the help of my mate who did the spraying) as I could see no indication of a revision number.
He had colour swatches of the five...
Correct. Like ripples on a pond if you will.
But part of what Akiro is saying is correct - the human ear isn't very sensitive to low frequencies, so an oval woofer isn't such a major setback when your just after a bit of rear fill. It wouldn't be clean or crisp enough for most afficianados...
Because you say so? Get f**ked. ;)
If you must know, according to Renaultsport in France, the Mk1 172 (as it is commonly known on here) is referred to as the RS-1.
It is not attributed a 'Mk' as it was the first Clio with Renaultsport badging.
So get your facts straight. It's...
Side track I know, but what would be the advantage of supercharging over using a turbo??. I know lag etc are and issue with turbos, but surely a turbo conversion would be cheaper and yield more power??
Doesn't tog stand for Tired Old Git?
He's a sad little 40 something trying to recapture his youth by putting w*nky lights on his hot hatch. Priceless.
See, it's easy to cast aspertions over peoples characters when you try..... ;)
Welcome to the forum Mike, whomever you may or may not...
I normally change before the shidt light tbh..... Is it worth going through those extra couple of revs? Mine seems to have run out of gas before 7000, so i grab another gear.....
The suspension is different. It's set up for 16" wheels for a start and has different spring and damping rates.
I've never heard of a fault with the fbw throttle. More sensitive than a cable jobbie, and has fewer moving parts thus requires less maintenace. Gear box is essentially the same...
