Can't see how. Clio is lighter and has more power. Top speed for 172 is 138 iirc.

172 is faster, but power delivery has a lot to do with it. MCS prob feels a bit faster. On the road, there's proabaly not much in it.

Can somebody tell me the part number for the 182 plastic exhaust surround? My search for one seconhand or from a scrapper has proved fruitless so I'll need to get down to Renault to get one. I'm not even sure if my local stealer has a parts dept. lol. Thanks in advance.

Trophy. Suspension, Seats, Rarity (although Cups will catch up as a few more hit the ditch over the winter), Plaque, 10 bhp, A/C, TC..... if cost isn't a problem it' a no brainer imho.

The mk1 is the original. But definitely not the best. I've driven all variants except the Trophy, and the mk1 was the worst in terms of handling... imho. People rave about the looks, but I think they look all cutesy and bubbly. lol.

those wheels deffo look like they've been shopped to me - wheel is too close to tyre edge at about 10 o clock. Could be seeing things though.
