    bleeding brakes...

you need to make sure you clear out all the dot 4 stuff. So buy too much dot 5.1 and feed through about a litre (250ml per corner ish), then put in the other bottle. This should flush out the old stuff. Alternatively, dot 4 is fine. Castrol super dot 4 i've never had a problem with on track. The...

    Clio won't start

No mate not sorted it yet. I'm struggling really. I had an auto electrician round and the problem seems to have got worse. My clip was reading the ECU, but wouldn't erase faults. It was showing a connection issue between the cars computers; 120 is the injection comp which is showing as ok. You...

they should do as far as I know, you just don't notice usually as the engine fires

    Not Fueling

The ones you've circled chris are the starter, ignition, fan and fuel pump relays. There are large and small ones for fan and starter iirc. Not sure what the black one is? Is that a bodge job from your adjusted loom?

    Immobiliser Fault

i'd get it stuck on Renault CLIP mate. Will give you a better understanding of the problem. Don't go to a dealer though. If you were a bit closer I'd stick it on mine for you.

    Central Locking

sounds like i'm taking the pi55, and you might look a bit silly, but try holding the remote by your head and then click it. It works - Fact!!!

    Car wont start! HELP

sounds like a wiring fault or ECU from the experience with mine mate. It shouldn't be key if it's a solid light IIRC. Where you based?

    Seatbelt light???

did you keep the rail switches?. It's on the handbrake side slider thingy. When I changed mine, it came up with a fault. Or as Mark says, it could be the pretensioner not connected propperly or damaged.

    Brake Help required!! ASAP!!

Seems a bit strange he's not getting anything through while bleeding. Have you switched the car on to get the servo working? ABS sensor is in the hub mate, little black plastic thingy. Did they refit the spacer on the rear disc before putting it back on? Otherwise it will catch on the ABS sensor

Odyssey pc680 - what amp rated cable is needed.

15mm cable I used. Seems fine. about 1.5m in length from passenger footwell to engine bay.

EML on again, got some codes

Nope, not at all mate. Management light will be on due to the temp sensor. i'd imagine it's the pedal sensors on both brake and accelerator, but they shouldn't affect the management light I don't think. If it drives ok i'd leave them for now. Change the temp sensor though, although it's not...

Quick help with under seat wiring

Mike you don't need to unclip it as it's a pain. Just snip the wires off at the car end of the connector (if that makes sense), then attach the resistors to the wires. I'm guessing you'll need them bags turning off soon then ;)

Lamda sensor front or rear ? & Jerky gear change

front lambda mate, and engine mounts would be a good place to start looking for the jecky stuff.

    Need help ASAP!

if it doesn't crank after you put it past ignition it will be ECU related. Key issues would cause the immobiliser light to flash, as would decoder issues. I doubt it would be key related tbh. If you're north west I'll run it on clip for you mate. Mine is having similar issues and now the ECU...

    ECU

So, had an auto eleccy round tonight, who had a play around with the car, with no luck. Now my CLIP isn't reading the ECU at all, so i'm thinking it's the ECU that's fubard. So options; 1)send it to a place in warrington to see if it's fixable? 2)get a second hand ECU/UCH etc for it and swap...

    Airbag ECU Help Please!!

What would make a clicking noise under my bonnet?

is it not just a dodgy relay mate? i'll plug it in diagnostics for you if you're over my way some time and see if anything pops up. Nice and cheap for you ;)
  26. Jonny1*2

what does this little blieter mean???

if you're north west mate i'll run it on CLIP for you. Probably something minor tbh.
  27. Jonny1*2

    Electrical gremlins

1: Like you say it will probably be 2nd Lambda 3: Could be a faulty ABS sensor causing the issues, or one of the ABS rings is dirty.
  28. Jonny1*2

No turnover, 3 Beeps, had to jumpstart.

if it was alternator related your battery light would be on while driving, maybe not at high speeds, but defo at low speeds.
  29. Jonny1*2

abs and service light are on ?

Stick it on diagnostics and it will tell you straight away mate. Most likely a loose wire on ABS sensor, or a faulty sensor. If you we closer i'd stick it on CLIP for you.
