Head Unit Recommendations...... Talk To Me

The stereo is the sony me and Ron mentioned above, and the USB stick is a Sandisk Cruzer Fit. @AS_BO any idea why she doesn't like them? Too aftermarket looking?

Why not USB? You can get very small USB sticks with plenty of storage; (32gb) I'm thinking SD is going to be quite rare.

    Sim Racing & Driving

I tried AC again last night but full lock right + full throttle in first gear in a Shelby Cobra does not in any way yield understeer in real life. Oh and all the FWD cars handle like they've got insane LSDs fitted. Seems to be optimised a lot better now though, I can run higher graphics...

The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

I'lll do one sideways at 120mph on the way home. It's more to show how most people will find it day to day.

    Sim Racing & Driving

Been playing with Rallye Sim's Richard Burns Rally modpack... Thing. I'm in love with it. I want to have its babies. Pretty much every rally car ever made, decent physics and damage, and there's lots of extra stages for it (although I've not tried them yet)

    Apple CarPlay

Playing films (not very often), mainly mirroring my satnav to the screen in the car.

    Apple CarPlay

Now if they could just get the lightning port to output video, audio and USB control like the old one did, that would be just fantastic.

Has anyone fitted an armrest (MK2)?

There's a couple of cars that have had them fitted. Makes it a nightmare apparently.

    Halfway through my dash conversion..

Bit of a bump but I've done a few sets now, Ph1 and Ph2. I'd thoroughly recommend doing this. Ph.1 Ph.2 If you want to test the dials when out of the car, do the following (#1 top left, #30 bottom right, when viewed from behind the dials); Grey Connector (30 pin) Pin #24 EARTH - Ground...

    clio 182 aircon compressor question

That compressor looks like it's been leaking like a teenage girl at a one direction concert.

The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

I'd say slightly for, given Fatty's test results.

    FINALLY! Clio 172 'HOU'

And the next bit's done too. Whilst it is bright it's not quite as stupidly bright as the photo suggests. Dimmed for the benefit of the camera; Also took the opportunity to relocate a load of stuff to the space where the passenger airbag would be. I get my glovebox back, and it's all a bit...

The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

You'd never notice a difference TBH. Only when you stuck it on a dyno would you see the difference.

Anybody fitted a tablet into their Clio, and if so, how did you go about it? Want one for music/GPS

Yes, you can update the maps, I haven't looked into doing it for free though. They had a plug in TV module that gave you freeview. They don't sell them new any more though.

The 'What MPG Do You Get?' Thread

A 172 is lighter than a 197 so the engine doesn't have to work as hard.

Head Unit Recommendations...... Talk To Me

All built in to the head unit itself fella. My only critique is that the microphone was a bit fuzzy, but it was still good enough to have a conversation with. I think it may have just been a fault with mine really. Comes with an input for steering wheel controls which you can use to control the...

Head Unit Recommendations...... Talk To Me

I had a Sony MEX BT3600u, which was circa £100 IIRC. Very good headunit IMO.

Anyone without xenons tried LED headlight bulbs?

Bear in mind that high output conventional bulbs like Nightbreakers etc also have a limited life too.
