Basically the above. There's no real plug 'n' play LED replacement that can punch as far as a halogen/xenon/HID bulb. Very good for filling the immediate area with light, but not concentrated enough to reflect properly and focus on a long distance. There are LED kits available which put out some...
It's not too bad on a 1.2 but the cambelt on a 1*2 is a specialist job. If the timing's even slightly out it'll hit performance significantly, furthermore a cambelt change by someone who isn't a specialist won't look great if you come to sell it.
I'd say it's not something you'd notice straight away. You can still get 30+mpg driving normally around town, so personally I don't really use more fuel than I did in my 1.2.
It's the bills that are bigger really. Not just repair bills but tax too.
Depends how much functionality you want.
New you're looking at somewhere around 300-400 for the headunit and 250 for the GPS, but used prices are less than that. I paid 400 for pretty much everything but the TV module, so nav, bluetooth, ipod connection, remote and so on.
It's a bit more...
Looks lovely.
Would be interesting to see how well it holds up though, I can see it being rather easy to damage and rather hard to fix without it being obvious you've sprayed more on.
Lovely. Used to be a nice 5 Turbo 2 racing down here, until...
Needless to say the bloke driving it was thanking his lucky stars that it was a left hooker.
I have to agree. Every time I see one shunted, I'm impressed how well it's held up. Very strong and very safe little cars. You certainly wouldn't see it from a 106/306/saxo and you still wouldn't see as much impact resistance from the likes of a 206/Corsa C either.
Reminds me of this, which is mildly appropriate seeing as it's christmas.
Oh, it automatically becomes a video. I tried to leave it as a hyperlink.
I think the Sexo would have to be further fettled with, 180bhp is a bit tame IMO.
Definitely sounds like an earth fault. You're sure there's no corrosion on the cluster connections?
If you suspect the brake lights, can't you stick the standard bulbs back in to check?
It's possible to swap the front ends, but there's some fabrication work needed to do it. IIRC some of the cup racers got Ph2 front ends grafted on when Renault made the facelift, to save buying a new car.
What do you want the Ph2 element for? It's easier to get a Ph1 and put a Ph2 interior in...
