Struggling to get 30mpg, half the time I'm at 25mpg. That said though my commute to and from work is very short - the engine doesn't have time to get fully warmed up in the mornings.
I think the simulation nirvana lies somewhere between AC and LFS - Bang on physics with lots of feel coupled with cars that are actually licensed rather than subtly modified so the devs don't get sued. And real tracks. Need real tracks.

IMO Live for Speed is the most realistic in terms of physics. Looks turd though.
Repeated and excessive heavy application of pressure with the right foot on the accelerator pedal.

Sorry to bump, but I have just bought the right set of tyres, right?
Because I just paid £200 which is way less than the prices quoted here were a month ago...

Personally, unless you actually want to have HIDs (although I don't suppose that's the case with it being a track car), I'd just put the bulbs in.
Yes, but if the car is alongside then it is too late to claim that the car driver should have seen it. The door was opened into the side of the OP's car, not the OP's car driving into an opening door.
Depending on how good the CCTV is it may well be alright. If they can show that the door didn't start opening until the front of his car is level with it, then it can't be his fault. Furthermore it could well show that he wasn't speeding at all.
Of course if it shoots 0.3fps then it's no good...
The xenon units are from a 'normal' 172/182. They are a straight swap, but relatively hard to find (and can't be posted, as they have fragile parts which ALWAYS break in the post).
If you can find a set local then by all means go ahead, but it may be better to just remove the HIDs and fit a...
Pretty much on the border but yeah, Castle hillclimb.
I will add that's just the 'starter edition' - Neil's building a 500bhp lump for next year. You won't get much faster in a clio, 500bhp in a FWD car equates to some interesting handling traits so much better to go 4WD and have a much more...
Does the serv light stay on whilst driving? Has it got anything else on?
It's worth plugging into an OBDII reader if you've got one, or if someone local has one, to confirm that it's nothing else. But it sounds like someone's bodged the airbag light off.
The two are connected, yes.
The SERV light isn't because a service is due, it is because something is wrong with the car, but it is not so urgent that you must immediately stop.
It can be linked to various things, it is usually accompanied with another warning light on the dash, or an oil low...
