I've heard that about the fog light feeds, but out on the road, once you've stopped from a quick blast the foglight feed feels cold from the wind chill affect and the entrance into the airfilter alwasys feels colder than when I didn't run it.
It might be down to the fact that when on a RR, the...
I don't know if you can make it out but my CAF from the front fog runs staight into the rubber hose into the airfilter. Are you saying it'l run better if I just had the CAF directed upto this hose and not directly into it?
True, but I've checked the system and it's only this join that looks tired.
I'm not to worried abouth the life of the exhaust at the moment, more the potential gains to be had from it. I can't imaging the gains are going to be that much more if I did it to an aftermarket system
I was thinking of removing the centre silencer/ resonator box so I can run a full diameter tube right up to the join, and if the rest of the system is 60mm then there wouldn't be much benefit in paying £300+ for an aftermarket system then the cost of modifying that would there?
It is a 2 piece splitter with a join in the centre. Try searching for the HUGE thread from the Stramline Carbon group buys that went on, were plenty of pics floating about in that.

Have a read of this.
I said the same thing about the 197, hence why I rushed into Renault dealership to get one of the last 182's before the 197 was released.
I do like the 197 more than I did, and would probably considor owning one now if I didn't have the 182, but I wouldn't trade mine in for one, or a 200...
wait for the 200 to be out for 6months or so, give people time to get used to it and let it grow on them, then prices will start to fall. Also you'll be able to pick up the odd 2nd hand 200 which'l drive prices down further.
Same thing happened to the 182 when the 197 was released.
Don't have to stay with the standard size, but you must have same size tyres on each axle. ie fronts the same size, rears the same size, but fronts can be different size to the rears.
TBH thats a decent price for 185/55/15's. My sisters just got 2x budget 175/55/14's for her clio and they...
Has anyone ever removed the small mid silencer on their 182? or their 172 but I don't know if the mid part of the exhaust is the same. It'll still have the 2 rear silencers so how much louder is it likely to be.
My mid join between the exhaust and CAT is looking a bit worse for wear so was...
Yeah my dad works for them and they happened to have 1 old 1 left in stock and want to get rid of it, so I can possibly get it discounted from the full price of £155
I've managed to get the price down to £108.50 if I pay cash, worth it or should I just get myself a Streamline Carbon one, It'll match my foglight surrounds. lol
As Mark One said, unless done properly there can be problems with setting up a carb to run boost.
If you're after an engine conversion for your mk2 1.2 it's going to cost you more than buying and insuring a better car in the first place.
Yes you can fit a 5 turbo/ volvo turbo but it's an old...
I bought my Mk2 Ph2 Clio 1.4 Dynamique new there wasn't a dynamique +, it only listed a 'dynamique', and a 'dynamique aircon', Obviously one came with it as an optional extra and the other as standard. Climate control was again an optional extra above this. No engine or bodywork differences.
I...
If you're refferring to Mk3 Clio's, I think you got the 16" Canasta alloys, small body kit as standard instead of extra's and maybe a few other bits. Came with the 106bhp deisel engine aswell I think.
Best of looking through Renault website for a full spec
Thats the price I was quoted, and I've not found one cheaper yet. Can't find them 2nd hand either.
Hopefully Bic can get up and running with the GRP/ e-glass splitters before I give in and buy some carbon
Where did you come from????? I thought I was special!
I've only ever seen 1 other LY around Chelmsford way, once at Highlands Park, lowered, red BBPT stickers and calipers, exhaust
Isn't the rear a torsion beam set-up on Mk1's? I'd recommend lifting it so it atleast sits level or higher maybe.
Look into getting a set of Koni's for it.
It's an identical copy of the OE splitter so no benefits over the standard splitter, but Renaultsport did at one point release figures of the supposed additional downforce the cup spoiler/ splitter pack had over not having it fitted. doubt anyone will find it now though
