My thoughts exactly, but I don't know how much Compbrake charge for there kit. But again I didn't want to pay full price for them.
How much does it cost to have a full set up of adjustable topmounts that you're having done JD? I didn't want them set up other than standard so fitting an...
Bought mine 2nd hand but hardly used for £80ish I think.
Easy to fit once you know what has to come off and the order it goes back in, I didn;t have fitting instructions. The hardest bit is getting the top nuts undone. I had to borrow another compressor from a friend as mine didn't hold enough...
Compbrake top mounts don't need machining to fit standard supsension. Mine fitted fine.
Speak to Compbrake direct - 01772 696700.
Or K-Tec seel identical mounts but in blue, might even be the Compbrake ones but not sure.

I have Compbrake top mounts fitted to standard shocks and the ride is really good, even with Sportlines springs. No machining required at all to fit them either.
Give them a call direct and see what the price is. They were really helpful when I had to order another set of rubber O-rings and...
I got the Compbrake mounts 2nd hand but hardly used for £80ish I think and what an improvement. If you want full adjustability then go for the AST or Mark Fish, but these are just a fit and go drive scenario. All you need to do is just check the tracking is still ok. Was very impressed with...
Turbo for show, supercharger for go!!! Only joking
I'd personally want a supercharger as I hate waiting for the power to kick in, by which time you've already lost ground. The instant power of a supercharger would be awesome. But then I don't know how laggy the low boost K-Tec conversion would...
Why will that increase sound? When I changed to a K&N panel fron the standard Renault element it made no difference. it's still within and enclosed airbox and fitting a CAF directly onto my V6 airbox actually reduced the induction roar as it wasn't sucking the air in from the engine bay.
Agree...
To be honest, I ended up with so many cracked and smashed foglights I was glad not to have to replace one again. But I've been looking into getting some more flexible ducting so I'll change it to black then.
As with gains, I thought there was a slight increase in low down power but that might...
I didn't notice any difference in the revs dropping, but it will sound loud as it can still suck air in from the engine bay from around the sides of the standard CAF. If you seal it directly onto a CAF it should quieten down a lot.
Mine rested on the end of the radiator, it's because the...
Welcome, I used to always see a Blue Ph1 down Butt Road
I'll keep my eye out for you as I work in Colchester and normally driving around in the morning
My thoughts behind it was the fact that it's a better design in the sense of direct airflow than the standard 1*2, so when combined with other mods such as matched inlets etc the benefit would become more clear (hopefully). But yes I plan to go back soon with the standard airbox running same CAF...
Really??? I've never known a Renault make book figures
Check out the table of results from the RR day. I'm planning on going back soon with the standard airbox to see what difference there is, but only 1 standard car made more power than mine. Plenty with mods made less too...

Check out my pics in this thread. It fitted straight in with a bit of fiddling on the standard elbow. No need to remove coolant hoses and battery etc.
Take the inlet elbow of the inlet, attach to the airbox, remove your existing CAF's...
Parked along the main road through Birch near Colchester. Was in really light Blue/ silver colour I've never seen before but looked really nice.
Had RS front bumper, lower grille, wings and bullets, 182 rear bumper and exhaust, with standard 15's and upper grille. Colour would match a set of...
I wouldn't have thought the CAF would restrict it that much, the fan should still have been directing air towards it. But I would say is that you've got a good torque figure. I ran 170.9bhp but only 146lb/ft from a 182 with a V6 airbox and same CAF as you in the foglight surround.
A lot can...
I'd say OZ would look awesome against the silver, but I'm not sure if they do the right offset for the clio so might be a problem depending on how your coilovers are and whether you go for 16" or 17"
Flame red 172 with 'Girlie Girl Racer' written on both rear wings and windows in silver. Female driver.
Followed me from Great leighs back towards braintree and into the Notley Tesco's.
Sorry I just couldn't resist having a little play on the straight :o
Yes mate was me, hard to miss I guess parked right by the entrance but only place to park to not get it scratched/ dented.
Didn't see a 197 as I walked through the carpark though
I beleive it's for overridding the cruise control/ speed limiter. If your using them putting your foot down on the accelerator shouldn't make any difference, until you hit that switch and go pass it then you should gain control of the throttle again
On my way home last night passed a Ph2 172 in Flame Red? coming out of Braintree towards Bradwell on the A120. Had a twin exit aftermarket exhaust, other than that looked standard from what I saw. Got a wave as they went past
Might be worth digging through the threads on www.rtoc.org (Renault Turbo Owners Club) used to be quite a common conversion into 5's, Mk1 Clio's and even an extra van
You're kinda taking things off topic there, thought we were talking about general cars, not something thats rally inspired and tuned as std to a point where it has to be services every 4-6k miles so it doesn't destroy itself with a not very long life expectancy. The RS megane will make 300bhp...
