If I remember correctly you can just tie the sensors up unconnected in thin air without issue.

When you buy the phone, it will lock to the first network it's hooked up with. If it is then subsequently unlocked (whitelisted with apple), then it will be unlocked full stop.

Just to update, since buying it, I've charged my Anker 3-4 times. That's it. Took it away with me to Cowes, kept my phone charged for a week with only 3 lights on and left with 1 still on. Charges quite quickly too, about an hour and a half to go from empty to full.

Decided to build a little base for the sub. The values for all the gear onboard though all got changed after updating voltz so a lot of it got corrupted, at the moment it's in tekkit but I may go back to voltz for the missiles.
