I've had a bit of a search and not really found answers, but I'm gonna be in need of another full set of tyres before christmas. So far I managed 18k miles on the first 4tyres, and I'm just breaking 18k miles on my second set of 4.
I've stuck with PE2's so far but am thinking of trying either...
Just to let everyone know, I got my car back yesterday and they changed the steering wheel under warranty. It was at Darlingtons Renault in Harlow, same dealership in Theydon Bois
My car, not me driving I'm afraid otherwise I'd have given you a wave.
Was my dad driving again, we was bringing it back after having some warranty work. He didn't say that he saw another clio, he usually does
Were you ever on the RTOC, I was many years ago when I had my 5 GT Turbo. I went to a rolling road day at JamSport and remeber seeing one almost identical to yours, if it wasn't yours?
Lovely looking cars although I've no idea how well they drive, what are they like?
I think I've finally seen your car for the first time on the way home from wotk last night. I normally turn off before then but I saw it in the distance so thought I'd have a look.
Think we need to arrange a mini meet, there seems plenty of us in and around Braintree now
I'm having a new bonnet fitted and sprayed this week, and have it blended into the wings etc, so I doubt it will all be put in the paint oven.
I've done a search and have read you should let the paint breath for a month or so, but how long should I leave it for? I wash my car with CarPlan...
That did make me smile when I read that.
It's strange sitting in McDonalds seeing all those chav's doing barry laps, made me feel old. But there were still people in there that I knew doing laps so it made me feel better knowing I'm not sad like that
Thats quite a road trip. what goodies did you get?
I got all worried when the GF spotted you, saying 'thats your car going the other way'. Thankfully I saw your sticker
Was in Tiptree this morning and saw a Petrol Blue 182 54 reg parked on a drive way.
Shame it was in the shade, would have looked lovely if the sun was shining on it
Thought it was my car (I'd just left it with the garage for some warranty work) going Northbound up the M11 Saturday around 6- Half past 6 but you had a little white sticker on the drivers side rear window.
Was maybe 10mins north of the A120/stansted roundabout
Yeah I admit it is a bit sad sitting in McDonalds, but hey, it seems like an aweful lot of you are still going in there :o Plus my car is in this week for some warranty work so I had to get one last fix before I swapped it for the Honda Jazz :dapprove:
Sounds like a local mini-meet is in...
Was standard as far as I know, it said it made 164/165bhp. In theory a better flow into the inlet would benefit a std engine, but you're not gonna get the most out of it unless remapped to suit.
The original and best I guess, can't think of anyone before K&N making kits.
They did say that the original airbox was a pretty good design, and something like 0.5bhp increase with the panel filter
The K&N 57i kit, something like this one I think

I just had a quick flick...
Has anyone seen the results yet, I was quite surprised after reading the winner in WH Smiths this lunchtime
ITG maxogen didn't even make it into the line

Here's -J-'s original thread on meeting Tuner Magazine
I saw you driving along Peartree Road/ Dugard Avenue about half 11 this morning, I was stuck behind a learner a few cars back
You then turned left at the end onto Straight road and sat in the traffic as I turned right
Mines nowhere near as bad as those pictured, but it's still melting on the right hand side, it's a 55reg 182. Took my car in the other week with some other problems to get sorted ounder warranty (intermittent starting, paint bubbling on underside of bonnet) and they've agreed to change my...
Was just pulling up to a house for work, and one of the curb stones wasn't straight and I caught the corner that was sticking out. To say I was a little p!ss*d is an understatement. I've been driving 8 years and it's the first time I've done it.
Luckily it's only caught one spoke of the...
Painting the edge of the disks biting surface won't do any harm either, I went over the edge by mistake. I tried cleaning it off with some brake cleaner but didn't get it all off. if its dried properly when you next use the brakes it'll scrub it all off.
You used to be able to buy fully...
The paint is soft and once the wheel nuts are all torqued up the wheel will sit level. You're talking about such fine tolerances that the wheel casting will be more out than any affect that painting the disc face will create, not including the general movement of the tyre heating/ cooling as...

You're inexperience showed a little there, racing off whilst I'm still on the roundabout theres only going to be one outcome. :quiet:
Couldn't get away the 2nd time though hey??
Friend wasn't that impressed really, he's not a petrol...
