Sunday night outside Frankie & Bennies/ Hein-Gericke. blonde female driving. I parked next to you in the silver golf oil burner.
Had a Cliosport.net sticker in the back window and a Nurgburgring map on the bootlid, aftermarket exhuast that sounded quite nice

They're not difficult, just fiddly to squeeze it in nicely. Ideally I need to change the inlet bend to get a better fit. I removed the foglight and ran a CAF to that, I didn't fancy messing about running it to the lower grille

Have a read of this, I posted a couple of pics further down showing mine in the foglight. I know you said you don't really wanna remove the foglight but I think it's the easiest way
Sorry I stole it off a V6 Espace that was about to get scrapped so no part No.
Although 'bmh.01' has just given me the part No. for the standard airfilter if it's of any use: 77 01 030 196 @ £11.29
I've never seen the airbox on any of the V6 clio's so I can't really comment on it. TBH only ever once got a glimpse under the engine cover of a V6 clio:eek:
I'm after the part No. for the standard Clio Ph1 172/ V6 Espace air filter, I'm presumming they're both the same?
My local dealer can't find it without a reg or chassic number, he's a real clever chap this one!
Doesn't matter that they can run at 270w unless your putting 270w into it, if there off a standard HU I'd hate to think what little power you're putting into it, 50w maybe?
Best thing to look for is prob sensitivity at 1watt/1metre. the higher the better. And a better frequnecy range
This bit...
Franx, do you have a Ph1 172 or the Ph2 172/182? I've got the Ph2 182 and I've run the feeds all the way down to the foglight as shown by the pics in this thread.

Personally I wouldn't bother, it was just the case I could get hold of a V6 box from a relative scrapping his car. Otherwise I would have had either.
I'd just try and upgrade the CAF to it, I'm sure theres something in the guides section on it
The mk2 ph1 clio airbox is very similar to the espace V6/cup airbox, the difference is the v6 has one 100mm dia air feed whereas the clio Mk2 Ph1 has 2 smaller feeds, 60/70mm dia approx but not sure. It works out that the V6 has a slightly larger area thats worth at least 5-7bhp extra :rasp:
My dad said the same thing (being a Renault mechanic). but after having it done he agreed with me.
the car doesn't seem to have such a flat spot mid revs when waiting for the 5k kick. I haven't put it on a rolling road and done back to back comparisons but it does feel more free revving to me...
If you've already driven past it a couple of times, just stop and give the person a call and ask. the 1.4 and 1.6 are much rarer than 1.2's, probable a ratio of 1:3 almost. I had a 1.4, performance wise it wasn't too far behind a 1.6, but leaps and bounds better than the 1.2's, and it still...
It does!!!
When I first fitted it I only had the short rubber hose picking up from behind the headlight from the inner arch. This had a real induction roar at full throttle (although I didn't like it too much until after 4k).
I've now connected a CAF from this all the way to the...
The V6 airbox is fair more vocal than the standard 182 box, even when it's fullt sealed off with air feeds. It doesn't look anywhere as neat and tidy, or fit as well as the newer ones either
I know what you mean. I already had the ducting, worst bit is it's black on the outside and silver on the inside :dapprove: . The CAF still needs a little trimming to get a nice fit. Problem is where a wire clips into the bumper beside the folight to hold it out of the way, I've got to find...

List 2 filter types, flat filter for the mk2, and a round filter for the mk1. £48.18.
It's a similar shape to the one above, but alot taller and not such a big dia
I fitted one and it does feel a little better at mid range, sounds nice though at full throttle!!! Haven't fitted an aftermarket filter and inlet bend yet.

a few pics of mine and the feeds at the bottom of the thread
For those that are interested, I've just posted pics of the V6 espace airbox and CAF's I fitted in another thread.

Let me know what you think, I'm pretty pleased with it. Still haven't got round to getting a silicone throttle bend and...
I need some help, I've got pics of the feed but don't know how to post them on here I've started a thread already and it's had a massive 3 views and no replys.
If someone can tell me how to do it I post them up tomorrow morning
Somebody started a make them with a nice little clear pipe that ran the full height at the side of the header tank so you can see the levels for BB I think but I can't find it anymore
I played with a VR6 on my private road from 35 to 120 magic roundabouts per hour and I gradually pulled away from him in every gear, I used to sit level with them in my standard 5 turbo until 90/100 as well
How can I do this without using Photobucket and things like that, as it's blocked on my computer at work and the one at home is far to slow. I've never done it before and don't know how to do it?
