Has anyone done the above to a 3door ? What are your thoughts?
I don't play my music as loud as it will go but I do like it to sound good. I've always noticed that the sound stage is very much set to the front, with front and rear fade set equal, to the point where I don't really notice...
Where do you hide the crossovers?
I fitted Infinity components to my 1.4 dynamique and stuggled to hide them, plus it was a nightmare routing everything around the dash even with the top of it off
Anyone who says a 5 turbo isn't reliable is either a chump that has never owned one, Knows nothing about them, or owned one and doesn't know how to look after it! I had mine for 2 years and the only major problem I had was a leaky fuel tank, but then I know how to look after a car.
As...
GazM has got one, seems pretty impressed with it: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=321234
Get those sound clips up, I'm really interested in one. What ever happened to the group buy or club discount?
As far as I know, yeah. But I don't think they do as much work as they used to. A friend had them change all his suspension on his 106 GTi towards the end of last year
Torsion tuning near Keveldon. Top guys and do a really good job and don't charge the earth either, I got them to do this to my 5 Turbo and was very pleased
:o not very often, but I did go home and finish it off properly. didn't have time to do it all myself and fit my cup airbox.
Not noticed the different coloured wing mirror covers before, nice little touch!
NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo :quiet:
the RSi engine isn't particularly that quick, but it does drink petrol! as it's heavier you will more than likely have to change all the suspension and brakes with it.
A 5 GT Turbo engine can be bought for not much at, maybe buy a blown one and have ago...
And shape, air flow route, position, air feed into filter?
I'm not putting the Maxogen down, just can't afford to spend that kind of money at the moment
Anyway, fitted it on friday afternoon, was an absolute nightmare to get it to fit in a way I was happy with. I used a trimmed standard air...
If the remote wire is turning on the amp, then it will light up red/ show a fault on your amp if there is a problem with live/ earth connections. If the remote wire isn't turning on the amp then nothing will happen wether you have a good live/ earth or not.
Check you're remote feed and fuses...
Very true, but you're braver than I am if you're likely to drive through a puddle that deep. I'm going to try and run the CAF so it sits below the number plate in the front lower grille. Hoping the grille will help stop any splashes getting too far up the pipe .
They're the standard Michelin Pilot Exalto 2 it came with, very good tyre all round. They were already about in other sizes but not the 205/45/16 and not the stiffened side walls that came with the cup suspension pack until the 182 came out
Hi there, where in Essex are you? and what colour 172 do you have. I'll keep and eye out.
Get a nice exhaust on there, as the original one is bound to fall off fairly soon
I don't see why not. I thought the floor plan and rear axle was the same other than the 182 not having the wheel well so there should be less in the way.
Only problem I see is the exhaust mounts/ hanging points in the wrong place
I did think about this. A while back the passenger side foglight smashed so I removed it, fitted a CAF in the opening, and connected it to the OE CAF where the acousitc valve is. In the rain a little moisture would settle at the bottom of the pipe but would never work its way up as theres not...
Lay parcell shelf behind the front seats, drop headrests down. I tuck an old single bed sheet over the top and then under the headrest then lay the seats forward so it drags the sheet with it. Both wheels off, put the bikes in forks first and job done.
I can get 2x freeride full suspension...
Hopefully should be fitting it all properly this evening, going to use a standard paper filter and inlet elbow for now until I get round to ordering the other parts. Not looking forward to fitting the CAF in though!
Because it's cheap and a simplified air run than the standard Ph-2 box, I got it off a bloke that was about to scrap his espace for nothing. It sounds better than the standard Ph-2 box, it is extremely similar to the famous ITG Maxogen that cost £300, that so many people get more than just a...
Drop in the 1.4 5 GT Turbo lump, a standard engine will provide similar performance to a 16v clio but without the weight. If your SENSIBLE about tuning it then you will have reliable power and more performance than a 1*2.
Torsion Tuning in Essex were one of the first to do the transplant
Thanks for that.
I can't decide wether to polish the inlet with a carbon engine cover, or paint the inlet black and spray my engine cover LY. Or maybe polished with the LY? But for sure it's not staying standard!
Looks good, I'm in the process of changing my OE airbox to the cup/ V6 Espace one. Hoping it will make some improvement.
Off topic but who/how did you polish your inlet? I'd love to do the same to mine
not sure as he was too far behind to see the plate, did he have paint stripper thrown over his bonnet a year or two ago? If so I went against him down the byepass when I first had mine
