Great little cars to drive. Very torquey low down and feel suprisingly nippy standard. Tax and mpg as said is also nice :D I'd have got on if I could have afforded on top of the 182. Just have to enjoy the 106 diesel. Great on fuel, but £125 tax :(
Thought you were on about r888 with the £55 quid each. Lol
I use used r888 mate. Excelent tyres. Mine aren't road legal but they are good fir the track plus you can practically run them to slicks.
how can you tell it's frail? Easy to refit to be honest. Just jack it up and give it a go. Loosen off the middle sections, slide out the cable and replace. You might need to take the rear wheel off to get better access, but you shouldn't need to.
if the DS were out the car wouldn't move no. No shaft, No Drive ;) Depends if they have come out though. Could be gear selector maybe? might have knocked that?
When you say it move, do you mean at high revs? or just normally?
no mechanic, but as far as I know it's something to do with the angle of the cams on the inlets. Part of the VVT system I think. Correct me if i'm wrong though guys
not sure what noise it would make anyway to be honest mate. Wasn't planning on giving the flush too long though, but if you...
I know, I lost track of time when it was done last to behonest. Until last night when I was thinking about it. What oil do you put in Fred out of interest? presume there is no point in spending a fortune on the stuff?
Was going to stick some engine flush in to clean the dephaser up a bit...
..... my oil? I know it's only supposed to be done every 2year/10000miles. Car had it's service back in Oct 2008 at GDI. Since then the car has only done around 5000k and two track day (yes I know I should have changed it after the track days ;)), but i've got the BIG service coming up this year...
I wouldn't spend more than £100 on wax to be honest. Even then thats a fare wack. Try Swiss wax or as a cheaper option, the autoglym stuff. Can't remember the name of it, but it's around £40 ish.
