Thats what they are saying, although I have to disagree. I found the standard pads crap tbh. ferodos are good for both. Not much heat required to get them working, so ideal for the road really. Mintex 1144 also, or carbon lorraine rc5+ (although recently they have had a bad rap :S). There are...
No mate, not holding the guard on at all. Just the two bolts in the holes as described above. You might be talking about one of the lower inlet bolts maybe?
It's not uncommon for people to buy parts from renault that are broken. I'd check with the other unit to be honest. As far as i'm aware they work the same as the windscreen sprays, but could be wrong.
Did you make sure you tightened up the bolt before putting the rail back on? might have not been tight into the lower inlet mani? Mine did this and subsequently loosened everything else :S
Nice lads at TDI north mate. They'll sort you out no problem. There are some stupidly powered old type r's sat on the car park there. 800bhp one of them
could the new unit be faulty? have you tried swapping over the one that does work to see? Presume it's leaking from the join between the pipe and the back of the unit?
Re: Mk1 Hybrid rebuild
not much point going to 182 cup hubs as the coilover options are limited really. 172 front track would be better really for better options.
Re: Mk1 Hybrid rebuild
awersome work mate. Love it!! Get some anthracite wheels on there and it will look bang on. Suspension etc staying as it was I presume?
motorway miles you should be hitting the 40mpg figure really. 70 all the way, easy on the right foot. Easy. Decat should make no difference what so ever.
That's the one that Jay fitted to his. slightly lighter than standard. I'd be suprised if the AC won't fit, but the fan definately will. You could always give them a bell though
The spoiler pack and suspension pack were seperate. Wheels were part of the suspension pack. As said the only way to tell is by measuring the hub bolt spacing really
looks like just the wheels have been changed. Everything else looks standard i'm sorry to say.
On the brightside, you'll have miles more options on coilovers. If you want to check the suspension, remove the wheel and measure the hub bolt spacing. If it have 54mm it's normal suspension, 60mm...
that looks like a standard 182 with the packs added afterwards to me mate. No spoiler pack and the exhaust oh and it looks a little high.
Thumb grips look fubard. What you pay if you dont mind me asking?
-grey wheels, but not concrete
-bigger spoiler and front splitter, but again, just could have had this put on and not the springs
-ride height is slightly lower and the exhaust doesn't stick out as much on the cup chassis (I know that sounds wierd, but its something i've noticed)
- Black gold...
people have done just speaker upgrades before and said its better. Standard system and amp is load enough, just the speakers can't cope with it imo. Go for it :)
This, I find brillo pad is less agressive so use this with metal polish, then do a buff with a microfibre, but to be fare, just give it a quick once over. it's only an exhaust after all ;)
