The one thing I would be looking for in a new car is build quality and the some bad stories going around, but not admitdley as bad as the renault ones.

Thats really bad. 24k service is the same as the 12k service in the handbook called and a service. You have in 36k period to A services and then a B service. This is listed in the handbook. There should be no extra charge for air con as this is the 172s service interval and they all have it!!!

Paid £117 for my 12k 172 service, there is a massive variation though with some paying close to £200 for theirs.

Wierd, I thought it was something the garage set up as me an mate got our extremes a week a part with the same spec, but his beeps and my never did. The 172 doesnt beep but is 3mths older than they were.

Exactly, mine wasnt lowered intially and I had problems, now lowered 40mm its a real pain. On my others I had lowered 40mm with lower profile tyres and never had any problems.

Any of the pre March 2002 Dynamiques should be like Freds. My Dynamique was the same, no rain or light sensors.
