Not too bad, what you paid considerig renault costs and the extra bits of work. I paid £117 (Discounted by 10%) so would have been £130, but had nothing elso, done.
CUPPY,give Arnold Clark a ring (See if you can blag a 10%discount card) to confirm the service price and then ask Gordan Lamb if theyll match if?? Worth a try.
Bought the 172 out the slavage in the autotrader, my dad and me are having a go at rebuilding it and then selling it on. Its had a...
Yeah Frosty thats spot on. Were you having it done CUPPY? Had my 12k done at Arnold Clark in warrington and paid £117 (£130 w/o discount). One of the cheapest around !!!!
I find the 4k rattle really annoying, especially on the motorway, agree with VivJ (which I seem to be doing a lot of recently:)) that if you are to spend £350 on a system, you want more than curing the 4k rattle for it.
There maybe some people on here though that do no want a performence exhaust.
Surprised people havent seem this before, I got mine position at the top right of the O, Good cheap mad though. I saw this on a car at the french are show.
You will virtually pass by it. Do you know where the stag pub is at Orrell post, next to that is a new place called Orrell Autos. Next to that is Speakmans, theyre in the Thompson Directory. Do not be decieved by the look of the place (Looks like a farm yard, lol). I really rate them and I have...
If they have replace that part then it will be covered for 1yr from that point, I think after the first yr it is 20% contribution, mine has got sh**t loads of paste round the join as well. Bad workmenship in my book.
thats just rubbish, the ST170 has no right to be called a Hothatch, Warm hatch of best. Build quality should be better and I quite like the look of them but I was look for a true hot hatch with the performence o match.
I reckon that you are gonna be ok then, according to what renault told me there is no harm in having the car serviced. I really would worry, this will not invalidate the warranty, the warranty will on be invalidated if you exceed 18600.
Speak to reno customer services tomorrow. Try not too worry.
I also got to agree with Nick, if it was highly regarded then it would be considered as a future possiblilty, at the moment there is little evidence to prove LADs claims.
Badgersport, the success of the rolling road does not need to be judged by the number of deposits secured on the day. If...
Nope, VivJ is right, it is every 12k or 2yrs.
Si 172, arent you leaving yours very late at 16k, I know you have no warranty but surley for service history you wouldnt want to leave it much longer.
Theres no problem with having it serviced early had mine done @10900 cause the car broke down...
Mine pops a little, am still having problems with my exhaust and had a new cat as well, in my opinion the system hasnt joined together well, had to have mine resealed at the join, seems to vibrate a lot at low revs when pulling off and also the dreaded 4k rattle is still there, so back to...
You must be really worried, I know I would be. Is your car around the 51reg, my first clio had a safety check at 6k, 12k later it was due for its first service but this was a 1.2 16v so would of been correct, they did stamp the book for the safety check cause i asked them to. It doesnt change...
BRUB I know a really good local body shop to me, not too far for you, Speakmans in orrell. Really cheap and do a top nothc job, repaired a corsa of my mates which involve repairing wing and door and respray both, with new strips and badges for £190 inc vat. Was a mint job. If you wont more info...
yeah, 172 looney is spot on. It come form the factory as a one piece from the factory, however, in the build process thr rear axles and compenents are on put onto the chasis after the exhaust, so to enble the changing of the centre section the replacement parts only come in two sections, not one...
I got mine form renault and paid £12.50 a blade for the front. One of those things I had been meaning to do so thought Id ask. I know I got robbed. How much are the bosh one for future interest??
lol, No, major missing understanding here, Renault fitted modfied parts from the originals, due to this squeking noise occuring. This is a re-occurance of the same problem, even though the modified parts should have stopped this occuring. The modified parts are from a technical note on the 172...
Can anyone give diagrams or explain as to what the proble with my 172 is ?? Spoken to renault and they reckon that the bearing has gone on the tensioner, again It makes a squelling noice not high pitch as in a sliping belt but more like a rubbing. The is also a rattling noise coming form lower...
