    Cup Pack...

If you're looking at changing the suspension you'll be better getting a standard 182 without cup packs. Cheaper to upgrade suspension and much more coilover options. Think there is only 2 options for the 182 with cup packs and they're both 1K plus.

    When fitting Brake CAFs........

lol fare enough. Is it easy to remove/replace. I'll just be removing for track, and putting back on for road? Wiring comes off without cutting i mean?

    Cup Pack...

you'd have to change the hubs mate, not sure how much that would be, and then cost of all dampers and spring all round. To be honest, having standard 182's gives you more scope to make the suspension more versitile. There are so many coilover options for the standard 182 without cup packs, so...

    When fitting Brake CAFs........

Presume the horn still works ok, just a bit less noise?

    Cup Pack...

the seats are more comfortable and huggy ;) and the one off paint, wheels and only 500 made. If you put the suspension on the cup it would be just the same though. Rear dampers are different also, not sure what springs are in the trophy dampers though.

    PTFE gaskets

you saying they're not worth it danny? the ones in the pics don't look well made though, edges not cut straight etc. They a home made jobby by a customer?

    Cup Pack...

They are gas dampers i believe (correct me if they're liquid :S), with reservoir on.

    Cup Pack...

hubs are the same mate, so you could do. cost a fortune though at 1100quid +vat a corner. something like that anyway

    Low effort, N/S handbrake

They're just crap handbrakes mate really. The braided lines will make no difference to the handbrake tension. How tight have you made it mate?

    No heatshield!?

Thought this stuff was supposed to be benefitial. Plus heat shields aren't required

    Cup Pack...

Handling is noticably different and ride hight is noticable if next to each other. obviously with sportlines the ride hight is substancially lower than standard so the dampers will be less effective as they're not designed to be that low. coilovers would be a good comparison and would work...

    No heatshield!?

either that or heat wrap it mate.

would advise going with someone's on here if you can. at least then you'll know it's been looked after. You'll have to pay a tenner and become a member to see the ads though. worth the money for other forum stuff also.

Bent rear stub axles???? look inside

i'm suprised your abs sensor hasn't been damage to be honest. Forgot to fit one of my spacer, turned the disk and the abs ring was rubbing on the sensor. Doing a track day without the spacer must have done something to them?

    clio 182

as above, should be the same. only the trophy insurance cost more for some reason. Probably due to exclusivity and the dampers

    Re-trim steering wheel

could you not have it flocked?
  19. Jonny1*2

    Cup Pack...

stiffer and lower springs from memory. The hubs are different which makes aftermarket changes difficult
  20. Jonny1*2

Any 182 owner in stirling area with an aftermarket exhaust?

get a BTB mate and be 1 out of 14 clios in the UK ;). (check GB section)
  21. Jonny1*2

    Low effort, N/S handbrake

One of mine is the same mate. I've just put it down to the mechanism on the caliper itself. Get under and see if the section where the cable changes from 1 to 2 and see if it's straight. Give it a tighten, but they're not the best handbrake anyway really.

    PTFE gaskets

worth a go i guess. gaskets will lower the inlet temps also, so you'll not be doing it for nothing if it isn't the gasket :)

    Decent coilovers, advice please!!

......what do people do on the horn side? can it be moved, or do people just work around it?
