You could probably get in from the air filter side if you remove the filter and the length of silicone pipe? Worst case, you'll have to loosen the top of the grille, whip the slam panel top bolts out to give you enough of a gap. Thinner your arms, the better though i'd say..

Yeah, the coolant hoses at the matrix end are a cnut. I always use a plumbers wrench at the most open setting- seems to fit pretty well.

The bracket that mounts to the front wishbone bolt? For info, you can get the box out the top. Much easier than removing the subframe. I don't even remove the exhaust mani when doing it.
