lol black tape. it's just to cover any rust that's started on them thats all. Thought acrylic based paint (due to flexibility) might be an option. Don't think you can get this apart from stuff you use for art :S
Anyone know what sort of paint should be used to cover up rust on springs? Don't want to put something on that will just flake off? Failing that, would powder coating be ok?
surely unless they're left filthy and in poor conditions then the rubber may degrade, but if they're cleaned i'm sure they'd be fine. Lots of cars will be on the same set of tyres for longer.
strange you'd feel the rears under braking through the pedal. Could be warped discs, but you'd feel poor brake performance if that was the case. What about rear bearing? Or could something have been knocked when you had wheels put back on?
I'm about to upgrade my air filter/feed. I'm looking at either a 45 deg pipe of straight onto the TB, so I want to move the battery to either the boot, or under the passenger seat.
I'd prefer to put it under the passenger seat, but bare in mind that this is a road car mainly and is mainly...
get yourself a willy ;) You may as well get something that requires less work for the track. If you can get a minter it will hold its value better than a valver. Defo sell the 172 if you're being offered 5k for it
