The 182 is much easier to launch than my 172 ever was, but thats probably just luck of the draw, the bite point on the clutch is nowhere near as high.
I dont know why Mike didnt do better, he has cams, induction kit, exhaust. I think we are up for another run at Trax in a few weeks. :D
TR6...
I managed 6.9 last weekend on my 3rd attempt. The car is still tight though as its only covered 3.5k. First chance I get Ill be at either Pod or York Dragway to see how it compares to my old 172 on the quarter mile.
Its starting to sound to me like you are only happy when you are moaning about something. Since signing up to these forums every post you have made has been negative in some way shape or form. Even when you couldnt find fault with your car you hypothesized about what if.......
Someone could...
The Cup is Mondial blue AKAIK and is a metallic finish. In some lights the Cup and 182 in Arctic blue look very similar, but with the 182 being a pearlescent illusion paint it can look very different.
In this they look practically the same colour...
0 - 60 the FRS and 182 arent that far apart, but 0 - 100 the Focus is considerably quicker. AFAIK.
Id still rather have the FRS to be honest. But I do love my 182 and theres nothing in the same price bracket Id rather have.

The new Clio Renaultsport 182 also offers the options of a Cup chassis upgrade and a Cup spoiler pack. The Cup chassis option, costing £200, adds Michelin Exalto 2 tyres with stiffer sidewalls, a 3mm lower ride height, stiffer springs and dampers...
Sounds pretty much spot on to me, maybe even a little generous. :D
Theres no point haggling if you cant prove that the car is worth more than they are offering. If you can find the same or similar car for sale for more then send them the details and try and get a higher figure.
The interior is nice in the 180, but I couldnt get the back of the seat how I wanted it!! Styling wise its nice but I reckon it looks a little dated and a bit soft. Looks good in red though. My uncles mate has just swapped his 172 for one, dont think he was impressed when he saw my 182 the...
When I told Tesco what I was buying they first said it would be a further £80 for the Cup packs. When I actually took out the policy they said that factory fitted options are covered by the value of the car being insured. Maybe I should have recoreded them saying that.
Its very wrong how...
No, dont go believing the Official Renault Press release. :o (sarcasm)
Have a read of this 182 sport: http://www.leemather.plus.com/stuff/182.doc Link
Got any pictures of the 2 side by side for a straight comparison?

Yup, hes right. Plus it pulls so much better than the 172. I need to get to Santa Pod to see how much better, but when doing the 0 - 60 at Donny South at the weekend it pulled really strongly. When changing up a gear in the 172 it always dropped in just bellow the power band, the 182 goes...
