Jeremy took me around Spa in his. As Pete says they feel a lot more stable and nicely balanced. It did want to understeer through some corners, but Jeremy had that under control and kept it nice and smooth.
I drove a 280SL once. It took me months to get over it. It was Cyan blue in colour. Although with the roof down I had some Chav sat next to me at traffic lights tell me I had a cool car. Personally I couldnt stand it. LOL.
Yeah I can mate. Very nice looking motor. I actually quite like my wheels, even if they do have an inch of break dust on them at the moment.
Ive just bid on some 15" Dynamique wheels for mine. LOL
Im actually worried about getting mine replaced as chips on the anthracite wheels will show up a lot more than they did on the silver 172 ones.
My local Kwik Fit did all 4 on my 172 and didnt mark a single wheel. Just lucky I guess.
Hi Phil,
Welcome to our humble forum. ;)
I certainly enjoyed my run out in iwilsons Elise R. Certainly the most impressive and focused track car I got a run in at the weekend.
Im just putting together my video from the weekend.
Any idea who had a Silver X plate Elise, as I let him...
I dunno, £800 and something. 27 full NCB, 3 points (3 more to add next time) no accidents. Car is garaged, insured for 16k miles per year but I think Ill have to up that.
I cant see the point. Why make your car look stupid for the sake of the next owner. Enjoy it and deal with the chips again later.
Thats like people who leave the plastic on a new settee. LOL
You may as well not get it sprayed and just cover it with the bra!
I wasnt really looking too much to be honest, I was paying more attention to the CTR in front who wasnt braking as late as me!! I saw 120 a few times though.
I was amazed my brakes didnt fade at all, unlike in Scotland with the 172!
