The other thing to take into consideration is the Cup suspension pack not only includes different springs and dampers but a different castor angle which is what helps the front end turn into a corner sharper.
Im sure youll be able to achieve the level of handling and comfort you want with...
My 172 was mark free until Sutton Park Renault decided to wash it after they had done some work on it. I picked it up, then on the way home stopped for petrol, under the forecourt lights it looked like someone had ice skated on my roof!!
What are you going on about?
I commented it was the speedo reading, so therefore not accurate, obviously I wasnt looking at my b2 as my mind was on other things so its more likely that I was actually doing 130-135.
Up to roughly 100mph a car speedo is usually out by around 3mph, once...
My old 172 didnt start to really losen up until 20k.
My 182 has now covered 4200 miles in 2 months and is starting to losen up nicely. I dont suppose the 0 - 60 sprints and short time on track did that any harm though.
I cant be bothered to work it out, but its been.
A new 172 (Exhaust, filter, Splitter, tax disc holder, bulbs)
A new 182
Lots of meets
Lots of Shows
Lots and lots of beer

Coming Spa Trip
Excessive phone bills
I dont want to know how much but Id guess thats a hell of a lot.

Yeah it is mate.
You would have to remove the cigarette lighter attachment mate. Thats easily done as mine was only held on by one wire when I got it!! I had to solder it back on myself. Its easily reversed if you remove it.
I dont have cables everywhere. They are all hidden under the...
Ive got one in my 182, which I previously had in the 172.
1) No, they dont detect anything other than laser, everything else is done via GPS and a database in stored in the unit.
2) Dunno, mines just stuck in the cigarette lighter. I know some people have them hard wired in to the same...
And you can move the plastic tray to under the drivers seat.
I took mine out of my old 172. But as you have found out, they made that an option from Mid 2003 onwards.
When I removed it I took out the metal bracket which it attaches too, leaving me just needing to get the cable, which was...

That was a mistake on my part with the W rating. I must have been having a bad day.
This has been put back in here as John would really appreciate an apology from the person responsible. Please dont spam the thread or start arguments in here.
Shes right you know (for a change;)). On all the Renault paperwork when ordering the car its down as Artic, but its actually Arctic.

What few of you seem to have noticed is it wasnt a 182, it was a 172, most likely Mikes who was out for the first time on track and taking it easy. We watched from the sidelines and he did take it nice and steady. Plus hes had a fair bit of work done to the car and it needs a remap to sort it...
Yeah, the Mondial Blue of the Cup and Arctic blue look almost the same in some lights, but the Arctic is pearlescent which makes it look different colours in different lights.
Heres a Cup and 182 side by side looking almost identical. http://www.leemather.plus.com/cliosport/drive250604/Link...
When I had my 172 I went in to book it in for some work. The Cup had just come out and one was parked out front. I said to the service guy "Ive only had this 3 months but I quite fancy a Cup" he replied "is that the Blue one parked outside".
Scary.
I noticed those marks when you were pottering around as everyone packed up. I thought they were new as I remember your motor being 100% blemish free.
Really sorry to hear that happened at Trax mate, and I hope you get it sorted.
The only damage I did was catching my splitter when reversing...
My 172 did it, and my 182 does it. It just sounds like the cowl on mine, especially as its worse when it gets hot. Yesterday on track at Silverstone I could here it through my helmet.
Lovely mate. Looks just like my old one.
First thing Id do is pick up some clear side repeators and silver vision bulbs. Amazing how such small things make such a difference.
Not everyone on track was pushing it, a couple of our guys admitted to pottering around. I just went hell for leather. :devilish:
Any idea what colour the Clio was?
IMO the Punto would need to be heavily modified to comfortably beat the 182. Having had track time myself yesterday even an Evo 8 doesnt have the sort of power advantage to breeze past you on the straight. The Tommi Makkinnen edition on the other hand made short work of me. LOL
I spent my...
Guys, this is not a discusion about where or when this happened. I just want to know as I have track time coming up in a few weeks and wondered what it was.
BTW: I had track time at Silverstone yesterday. Great fun and no warning lights no matter how hard I cornered.
I dont think this has been posted before, but have any other 182 owners noticed an alarm noise from the car when you hit roughly 140mph as indicated on the cars speedo?
It sounded a little like the buzzer that goes off when you leave your headlamps on, although mine doesnt actually seem to work!!
