suppose the only way to reduce the vibration is to tweek the engine. Strange that the new mounts dont improve the vibration.

Wasn't the 172 slightly lighter standard than the 182. Obviously putting the 182 exhaust setup on the 172 will make a difference. Increased flow will increase power. Decat might have been the main difference though. Suspension set up was much better on the 182 IMO of course. Feels more planted.

Hmm, sounds a bit strange. They suggest using those pads for cars like m3's so in theory more weight and heat. Maybe they aren't good quality if you got them cheap?

ah, thought it might have been them. which mount is that chunk of metal under? If you put in uprated mounts and remove it the vibration would be minimal anyway I would assume.

thought red stuff pads require a bit of heat to work correctly. They are a bit over kill for an RS. Green stuff would have been better, but as said EBC havent the best track record. ds2500 or pagid are the best bets.

there isnt loads on the rear pads anyway, so best to get a second option really. I've had the same said about mine and there was loads left on them. Don't always trust garages. KF1 there isn't much to the cup discs considering no ABS, so i can't see the Ktec ones being any better or worst to...

I know most people tend to strip out the interior to save weight, but is there anything under the bonnet that could be removed? I know you can go for the carbon fibre bonnet option, but is there anything else?
