Think i'll try a new mitt, and i've been looking into the Aquagleam too, its not too pricey...... whats the life time of the filter, how many rinses etc?(i understand that reducing the pressure helps etc) Might try the onyx but with winter not too far off i night need something more durable?
lol, just been off for a week with the gf, mucho £££ spent :( Only thing that *slightly* bugs me about the BTB is the rear boxes are more visable than the Milltek......
Yeah, looks fantastic when applied, but a pain if you just need to give it a quick wash, then leaves a dull finish. Pick your brains time (lol) Do you chamois after washing? I purchased a sonous drying towel and still think this marrs after washing, well that or the megs wash mitt :(
Yeah knows. This has been given the works now, so wont need the yellow pads and intensive polish again (like mine) I might try srp on mine with the pc in the next few weeks, i've heard a lot of comments (like yours above) of how well it goes on by pc :)
I find it tiresome trying to do it all with a PC in one day, already done the car with the yellow, and white pad. Spreding it out over a few days would be better. VIBRATIONS LOL!!! I'd lean towards the blue for srp, but not tried it lol. We destroyed both yellow pads (4"spot and 6" today!!)
I need to try harder after looking at that lol. These were my eforts
Re comments on the CG finish after a wash..... i find i need to zip over mine after EVERY wash as the finish dulls (petes 53) The onyx better for this then?
For thoses in the know the cleaning prosess was,
Full wash down
Full going over with megs quick clay
Wash+chamois
Menzerna intensive Polish on a sonus yellow pad
Menzerna Final Finish on a sonus white pad
Autoglym Super resin polish by hand
Autoglym Extra gloss protection
Tyres treated with...
I'd use Meguirs quick clay.... that gets rid of all the bonded on clap like tar and tree sap, then Autoglym Super Resin Polish, then follow that by Aytoglym Extra Goss Protection, used to give good results for mine :)
Dam i miss that colour :(
