The R26 will pull away from an S3 (as noted by Autocar). As for the DSG? Can't stand it. Still automatically upchanges at the redline, which is pretty hideous for a track set-up.
Great cars, but not as good a drivers car as the R26.

Took the cars out for a spirited drive last night, let the Caribbean queen have a go in mine. He got the arse very out of shape on an island with some funny camber. Just changed from 195's. Still adjustable, but better traction and less understeer.
Not a fan of polycarb on a car. Scratches way too easily, we have to be cautious when recommending it at work, and ours isn't exposed to anywhere near the demands of a car.
You can't 'straighten the wheel', flol. The splines on the wheel and shaft mean it can only fit one way. As craig said, if the wheels not straight your alignment is out.
Read the guide before messing about with airbags, no need to blow your hands off.
Where are you in the mids? I can take you out in mine, coilovers and better brakes. Coilover wise, AST, KW, H&R or Bilstein. Brakes are ~ £200 to get decent, only bother with the fronts, the rears don't do much work.
