I think, the ph1 doesn't have the revs ltd as harshly as the later cars. Same red line, but you can go past it. Does have longer ratios too. Get a ph2 rear end on it, standard wheels. Forget going after more power, fools game on these cars. Coilovers and some driver training will let you get...

Horses for courses mate. Wouldn't run 888's on road this time of year, they do not like standing water. People tend to like Exalto's, F1's, T1-R's, Parada's. P-zero's are good given that they're cheaper. I prefer F1's, but tyres are a very personal choice.

Would you just stick with standard then?

I haven't got a clue mate, but I'd of been interested to see how it performs. I could never see myself spending that sort of cash on induction. Rather spend it on wheels that nearly fall off on track.

Plus skinny tyres are less prone to aquaplane.

There will always be people that get on or don't with certain tyres, but if you look at the tyre choice thread, there are plenty of people with lots of experience saying the parada's aren't great in the wet.

At least it's not a write off. Just make sure you're 100% happy with the repair (ie don't let nationwide touch it!)

Just read this, epic waste of time. I don't understand the point tof going to the trouble of getting a forum owners car (ie better than average knowledge) and then not testing the 2 kits that people most commonly aknowledge as the 2 best kits (maxogen and bmc). Waste of £3.95.
