i have h&r's and they are awsome, but this week i've reverted back to standard, and tbh, i'd forgotten how good the cup is with standard shocks on, once you've got over how high it sits, they are really well set up.
anybody removed it, or is it a no no?
i've got a rattle from mine (99% sure its the arial cable rubbing against it) and its right above me head, which is annoying........
help people!!!!
nnooooooo not a tooth brush, i scratched the fook out of one of my turinis doing it that way. Seriously, fairy power spray, just try it on a little patch, work in with a soft wheel brush, then wash off.....now stand back in amazment! After this i'd coat in wax, as this stops the dust baking on
can't link it for some reason, but they are called lower engine mount bushes, bottom of the 172 page
tbh i'd just try slackening (sp) the left hand mount bolts off (like i said near the oil cap) and whilst pulling the engine forward, nip em back up. I think its the manifold hitting the...
knowsit, half these people dont know as they sit behind their keyboards all day. Mine was pretty bad, sounded like it was comming from the passenger footwell, and over crests etc,you could sometimes feel it through the steering wheel too(its hitting the rack)
ben r, the finish is superb, you can see the care thats gone into rewoking it. gains.... well if your existing manifold has alot of flahing around it, you will be loosing power on a stock engine, so you will see good gains... minimum 4-5 bhp if your casting is pretty good, i've read reports of...
trust me, half this thread is bollox people don't understand, if its banging in 1st gear when giving it some right foot action, my previous post WILL fix it
i only ask that as i hosed the engine down and water sat down the plug holes and caused a miss fire, pretty bad
can't you take it back if they serviced it before you brought it? these engines on the whole are bullet proof, there will be no headgasket trouble at 40 k etc
easy fix this!!!! its the engine hitting the subframe/ and or steering rack, not axel tramp etc
i sorted mine by getting the uprated k tec dog bone mount.... and then slacken off the 4 bolts on the left hand engine mount (the one near the oil cap lol) pull the engine forward with the help of a...
what did these retail at in the end? and did any power graphs get done? if so what was the gain?
thinking of getting a 182, and would love one of these.....
nope, appaently the castings all differ in quality, some really poor with lots of flashing etc, but just by puting the two side by side you could see how much meal had been machined out
nope, its done to the gaskets as these are metal stamped and are very accurate... pm ben r he'll tell you all the technical specs etc....
not 100% sure on the sale yet, i'll know by next weekend though :)
