Inlet manifolds gotta come off, will have to remove part of the engine loom too. Then you can remove the rocker cover. You only need basic tools, 10mm and a ratchet etc. First time you do one will take you 2-3 hours id say.
They cant be stripped down and repaired if thats what your getting at, No they dont wear out as such the pin fails inside. When i was at renault we were literally changing them daily on scenics.
So yea, when it's had it - it's had it.
Could be a faulty UCH, Its difficlt to prove tho. Clip can be used to check wether the UCH reckognises there is a key in the ignition, it can also tell if the key in the ignition is correct for the car.
Just because the decoder ring is new doesnt mean the wiring to it is ok, people always...
+1 stripped one on a scenic/megane cant remember. Was what he said.
For some reason they used to fail all the time, its quite rare for one to fail on clio's.
I did this but it doesnt work forever.
Im already on my second PS3, my first one broke after 11 months and was replaced under warranty, this ones lasted 11 months too. Theyre s**te - FACT.
Apparantly you can buy new lens off ebay to fix this fault, about £60.
^^ Hammerite spray should be ok.
I lightly etch primed mine, just a few light coats then painted with normal Halfords gloss black spray. So far it hasnt been affected by heat at all. Win
Halfords silver high temp paint is crap, i used it once and it came straight off.
I painted mine with normal gloss black and a year on its still perfect, the inlet doesnt get hot enough to warrant high temp paint.
