Got a decent bottom end for sale!! Dunno where east sussex is but if you wanna come pick it up its yours for £50! And its not been stripped/ damaged either, its sat in my shed head still on etc

You should be thankfull theve actually put some oil in it!

The majority of renaults serviced at a main dealers are the 1.4's, 1.6's and 1.9.diesels etc, so the oil out the pumps is for those cars.. its only really the turbo diesels that renault insisted u used different oil (5w30 iirc). They wont stock 5 different grades of oil, hence u getting 10w40...

Yea im not sayin you'l notice any diff.. but the oil outta renault pumps is 10w40 semi synthetic...so not the greatest. And a 250k f4r would probly be rattling its tits off anyway, no matter what oil used!

Techs dont sit there all day reading people's service book looking to see what the oil grade is. They use the oil thats in the pumps (10w40) as thats all thats supplied. Wont cause any probs, it just aint the best oil to use..

E7 mate iirc... 1/4 drive too, 3/8 too fat to reach down the holes

Yep i etch primed mine and painted with normal car paint from halfords, mines still ok. The inlet doesnt get that hot anyway.

Nowt 'wrong' with it. but ive recetly put new motor in it, brakes, gaz coilovers etc and mot. At the min ive got all the dash out doin a blue l.e.d conversion, new carpets, cobra seats etc haha im a bit busy
