Re: Renault 5 F2000 Tarmac Rally / Sprint Car - Clio Williams conversion & overhaul
Im sorry winston mate, your going to have to put 2 cylinders on carbs and 2 on ITBs. it's the only way to keep these lads happy
;)

all those lovely cold starts in the morning. Cranking waiting for the noisy splutter :) then leave her to warm for 15 mins.
Similar to getting a steam train going i heard.....;)
Re: Renault 5 F2000 Tarmac Rally / Sprint Car - Clio Williams conversion & overhaul
any reason in particular why the perfectly good ITB setup is being ditched for carbs??

That's a shame you can't get software for the wierd managemment. Have you emailed all the available email addresses on that website I linked??
New management will mean a new loom or loom plug. It's all ball...
no special tools required. Subframe has to be dropped. It can be done in a day. Do the clutch while your there.
There is a guide in the guides section. it's quite old (so page 3 or something)
230 is a lot to ask from a N/A F4R. You'd need ITBs (individual throttle bodies) and fairly lairy cams.
If your looking for 250 with loads of torque, you'll need a turbo conversion. Expect to pay £6k, and also I'd upgrade the crappy T25/8 that they give you to a proper GT28 turbo
