Just had a call from the garage after my Cambelt failure, it's bad. All 16 valves are bent, a rocker is broken, it's damaged the power steering pump, the dephaser needs done, the water pump etc etc etc. 2050 to get it fixed. Just not worth it due to the value of the car. Gutted to say the least.

Would love another one, but finding a proper minter would be tough and would cost, agree about the seats btw, Williams ones so comfy and supportive plus go nice and low

Well spoke to swr in Falkirk who I have used before as have others on here and get a good rep, as I thought I'm looking at a grand roughly to get her fixed, my folks have offered to help, going to get the car to them, check the damage and I mentioned catcam 438's and removing air con with pure...
Cheers John , feel bad about it and annoyed with myself. Iv got a driveway but no garage. Will take it to rentec as they are very local and breakdown cover won't take it as far as swr which would of been my first choice. Will wait for damage report/estimate then see whats the best plan of action.
Going to get it to a Renault specialist near me as iv got breakdown cover and get them to take a look at it and take it from there. Sooo pissed off and annoyed with myself, all the stories about cambelts on these cars and knowing it was due f***s sake!
