They mean that the cams will run on the standard hardware, but need a remap. iirc 428 cannot be run on the standard ECU remapped, so you need to go down the route of standalone management
You need a custom length Decat pipe (100 off Ktec - not very well made actually :() and then the standard 172ph2 cat can be cut and welded to make it short enough (just) I'm doing my cat ATM.
The only fitting kit you need is new bolts and springs to hold the manifold and decat together as your...

afore linked valver hybrid owner says:
48 Bhp on a NA 2.0 from cams and a heat soak K&N sh1t peice
Yes it's a lot of fukin about, the subframe has to come off. Need to set aside a day to do the job. But then if you refit with a decat it really does have a noticable gain. It depends how much you value your time :)
Wouldnt recommend paying a garage for fitting though
They run very well on the 95 muck actually.
What's induction like? although that shouldnt make too much difference. It's fast but your right it doesent look faster than my 172 Ph2 and it proper should be.
what's up with the clutch in the first vid. sounds like your lettin it slip a little bud...
speak to mkII
they are fine mate tbh. Although we havent had anything to make a direct comparison with and they havent been on there more than 3 months.
cars go slower in corners mate. Just a lot of resistance. The older Ph2 172s and Ph1 172s don't have it. Try giving 1st gear the beans in the wet and you'll soon find out.
If the solenoid isnt broken and the motor is just getting a bit weak, you will have killed it i would imagine.
If you hold the key when the engine is trying to start but not turning over, the motor axle stays still and burns itself out.
Could well be the solenoid though.
Have a look at the...
well done removing the mudflaps.
Now it needs 15mm spacers all round (possibly 10mm at the back) and shes done.
Then a 182 manifold too ;)
Reckon I should start a 182 manifold fitting service? lol
so the engine runs as normal?
Think this is that retaining clip in the gearbox. Speak to Matteh
see if you problem is the same as the one he just had on his 172 valver (think he is running a valver gearbox)
