"Matt black" ran quite a lot of nos through an F4R in a 1.2 shell (notice the QUICK quaters). This later turned into the ~500bhp 20v engined matt black clio.
anyone had any experience with mega squirt?
It's by far the cheapest option. Spoken to a mate who ran it. He described it as "not quite automotive grade technology"
I spose I can see what he means. As it's open source it seems to have been designed by too many people.....
Anyone have any...
no, and i've never heard of wireless management ever before.
although.....you may be onto something there. A wireless PC link could be good, then I wouldnt need to buy borrow a laptop!
Just been reading through the emerald website....
MAN! that is some gucci management.
It will accept any sensor you can think of, Including things like oil temp, exhaust temp.
Work out a way of linking up a road speed sensor to it, and you then have Traction control, the ability to adjust...
do-able, but you need a whole new rear beam as far as i am aware. Fairly big and costly job to be fair.
I'd just service the drums. Clio braking systems are all mega front-biased anyway
hmmm, Im no expert on these TBH mate. I don't know whether or not a T piece would affect the function of the standard pressure switch although i should think it would.
I can't see how an electronic dipstick would work without a probe tbh???
IMO, loose the pressure switch and go for temp and...
one more thing. The pressure sensor, is a pressure switch IIRC??
it's for warning light purposes, not gauge compatible?
Let me know if you manage to get a T piece in any of those mate :)
All you need is the airbox (the one for engines 1.6 and up).
A samco (or similar) bend to go from filter to throttle body and some CAF to go from BMC to behind headlight (or similar)
as far as 172 air filters go:
The best is an ITG maxogen (nearly £400)
Next down is a BMC CDA (much better than a viper)
After that, i'd just settle for a quality standard filter in your airbox
