Put the original bulb back in.
If it has the same problem you've blown something, if it works OK, then the bcm/uch may not like the higher bulb wattage, or if you have swapped to led, they need one suitable for canbus as it is 'sensed'.
The wiring diagram shows 3 resistors within the switch (although it is a schematic)
I'm converting a 172 to cc and am waiting for the cc switch to be delivered.
If nobody comes up with the figures you want, I'll measure the resistances when the switch arrives.
Ian.
Its not a problem if metal is showing as long as its no where near a live cable as the whole car is connected to the negative side of the battery. If its broken or damaged it could be a problem.
Get a jump lead and copy the connection, starter body to gearbox or battery negative and try cranking...
If its a thick black wire, yes it may be causing your problem, its the negative terminal to supply the starter motor.
The small wire should have 12v approx when you turn your key to the crank position.
There are several people advertising on eBay who you can send it to and get it repaired for around £25 with a warranty.
It's a common problem on the clio!
Reminds me of the pistons I've taken out of my 2 stroke 350LC over the years, got one in the garage just like it!
Looks like detonation to me too.
On a bike it would be fuel starvation, too advanced ignition or too much compression.
I've done both.
I agree with da rock, i would solder next time unless you intend to take your seats out.
Heat shrink sleeve looks a bit more professional than tape!
Ian.
Think I have a leak here, looks like it's coming from behind the flywheel. Also have the gear change leak.
Could be a pas leak-ive had one from the rear and front of the engine!
I've been playing with my 172 today and decided to look at an oil leak from the front of the engine.
Turns out its from the pas switch which seems to be common, but it looks like mine is leaking from the switch itself, not the joint, is this common?
Cheers, Ian.
Do you mean the one under the battery?
If so, there's a how to on here, basically, it's easier to remove the whole mount and then take the mount apart.
The washer motor runs one way for the front wipers and reverses for the rear.
Headlamp pumps is the same, cleans one headlamp, reverses and cleans the other.
White bit is the valve between the two outlets.
Sounds like your pipe or jets are blocked??
As above, really clean the surface you intend to mount it to with alcohol, meths etc.
There are extra mounts that come with the kit, I may have them if you're stuck!
Where about are you?
If you're good with electrics, I have a scan of the air bag wiring up to the ECU, on it I marked the resistor size that should be on there.
I bought a 60 plate 200 with 69k miles on it, it had a new box just before I bought it.
If you have a box problem, you may be lucky and get Renault to knock some money off the job, but tbh, you're better off paying one of the specialists on here to fit you a new box as it'll be a better quality...
Looks like the airbag SRS wiring. Is the airbag warning light on?
If so, do a search, there's several threads on here how to imitate the airbag with a 3.3 ohm resistor. Alternatively, take your car to a cliosport specialist any get your airbag airbag ECU reprogrammed!
