Haven't got a photo, but can email the Renault schematic wiring diagram for all the airbags.
Had a thought, if the side impact sensors are removed or cut out, they won't repair using a 3.3 ohm resistor?
Pretty sure on 1*2's you don't need a spring compressor.
Also, when you remove the 2 bottom bolts, the hub will drop-be careful you don't pop the CV joints apart.
Are there no cut wires under the carpet or is this removed?
You could get the airbag reprogrammed or if you can't find the wires, fit the 3.3 ohms resistors in the wiring behind the plug on the ecu .
Mini traveller (estate to the uninitiated), Austin allegro, Austin princess, all were just crap.
Last car I hated was an '09 civic 1.4 type s, sold it within a month , it was sooooooo slow and handled like a jelly. Had a 182 before it and a 200 cup after it!
They did the wife's 197, took the old tyres off and fitted brand new ones for me £125-hope they still do the tyres as have a couple of sets for them.
Got a set of 172 alloys, whatare you going to do with the centre caps?
Have you got the LEDs in the correct way round? Have you tried taking them back out to see if the problem goes away? Been a long time since I did electronics at college, but they are a diode and may affect the delicate electronics on the display!?
Cheapest for me was priveledge at £280, tesco want £342, brentacre £368 and flux £380
Phoned all 4, priv didn't answer first time and gave me duff info the second, tesco were good, Brent were good, flux kept me on hold for ages. Would go with Brent if they match tesco as I could mod the car...
I had to insure 2 cars at the same time, my old car for 30 days. It's a real pain, especially as you have have to sorn an uninsured car.
Gonna be worse when the seller has to surrender the tax and the buyer has to tax the car during the sale!
May try Brent tomorrow, tried flux Friday, put me on hold for nearly 10 minutes then came back with a quote I'd be 'really pleased with' £378?
Don't intend on modding the car, but the option would be useful.
Bought a 172 for £900 that I'll probably spent £300-£500 getting it how I want it, but it would still probably be worth no more than £1200.
Anyway, if I wrote it off I probably wouldn't claim as after paying my excess, i'd only be a few hundred quid in pocket Max.
So, I can insure with...
Well, they never got back to me and it's not relisted on eBay, also the guy with the 19k 182 around the corner that I offered to buy hasn't been in touch so back to scanning the usually web sites.
Been watching 172's on eBay and only 1 in 10 seem to be selling!
I'm looking at a 172, the only issue I can find is where the rear quarter panel has been sprayed at some point. The colour match is bang on, but the lacquer has some small craters in it about 3mm in diameter where it looks like it has reacted with something.
could these be filled by a bit of...
Couldn't drive it cos of the tax-another reason for the low offer, but will take it up and down the road before I part with any cash.
New tax/sorn rules stink, and they're going to get worse for anyone buying or selling a car!
Had a look tonight, needs 2 tyres, usual gearbox oil leak, cambelt had been changed in 2011 according to service book, but by back street bob and no receipts to say whether pulleys/aux belt was done. Clutch was really light! Only issues, it had been resprayed on the rear quarter and it's not...
Lol! Grew up with no tinted windows, child rear door locks or rear seatbelts. Still have scars from vinyl seat burns back in summer 76!!
Silver wheels or even cup alloys and a cliosport sticker!
That's the sort of thing I forget to check, like looking for the black stickers on the front bumper! If its an electrical fault, apart from not having clip, I don't mind looking at (used to be an auto elec) and hopefully it will be a bargaining point on the price.
Done a few belts over the years inc a Honda V6, spent the day with Fred when he did the wife's 197 and was going to ask him if I could sit in on a 1x2 change. It will be a second car so would be on no rush to get it done. Well that's the plan lol!
