Leverage is always your friend with these, I normally stick a screwdriver in the grooves and rest against the calliper and pop an extension bar on a wrench.
Would be interested to see what people use as well, not something I've looked into but really should.
Best of luck with the data, you didn't happen to take a backup before the format by any chance ? :P
Just sent the below to the other half who is currently in Scotland, she lives with her gran at the moment....

Got a facebook post from her 5 mins ago asking me...
Hi, All
Does anybody know if the piston ring tolerances are in the workshop manuals ? I've trawled through the 5 or so I have but can't find any mention.
On that note, does anybody know what they should be on a standard engine :rasp:
Cheers Paul
Bingo. Exact same view, I've no affiliation with apple at all - When another company does it better I'll get their product and so on. I've never felt inclined to go out and buy a mac now I have an IPhone.
I have mates who seem to be "collecting" products though, Unsure as to why. If my 3G was...
They are very capable track cars in standard guise, just keep on top of parts as they are quite high maintenance (Specially when it comes to servicing).
I took it into work on a VM and asked the entire team (I work in IT) to perform one simple task... Turn it off. After 15 mins of head scratching the battery was pulled and the laptop undocked ;)
In it's current form I have no interest in using it again.
Last mine sat and clicked, the loom to the TDC was fubar - Water and all, it's worth a try replacing it before going down the new lump route.
Said sensor, it's on the top of the gearbox where it meets the block. 2 Bolts.
lol believe it or not that's what my PH1 looks like at the moment with a phantom wiring issue !
If I think back (WAAAAAY back) when I had my 1.2 8v - I think the fuel line sits just above the inlet manifold, so they may come apart.
You not got any mates who works for a garage ? it's not one of...
The fuel line is sealed ;) Just be careful not to hit it with a spanner as they are quite fragile.
You can see the one in the F4R above, it's the black strip below the metal inlet on the front
The amount lost does seem excessive, the inlet manifold provides channels into each cylinder for the fuel and air mix, one side will have the cylinder head and one side will have the throttle body that controls the availability of air, the more air available the more fuel mixed (Basically...
Got to love videos ;)
This will help you with some of the bit's - also gives some insight into what's behind some of the plastics, the inlet manifold you can make out now.
That's the intake manifold, I can't quite make out from the picture if the fuel rail is attached to it (The sport's is split into 2 and it connect's to the bottom half)
If it is be very cautious with it lol
Your best bet is to get your hands on a workshop manual or a haynes, it will give you...
Look's much of the same mate with the above, just has a different manifold :)
I'd start with the easy bits, filter, intake bend, HT leads, coil pack, throttle body, manifold cover, manifold itself then you can remove the manifold and probably just push the rest to the side. I don't think you...
Car's are like lego, but more female in nature. Take a few photo's before you start, can't go wrong ;)
Looking at this, it looks like the inlet manifold will need to come off and the coil pack, gives you a chance to clean the intake up :D
The bolt torque's for when it goes back together...
Mine's gone green too, and now it wont spark ;)
As above, attack the relays and fuses first - get a volt meter on the injector wires and see if they are receiving little or no voltage
Rocket gasket ftw !
I'm not sure if these use a gasket or if they are sealed with sealant, but being a diet engine I imagine it would be easy to find out after you remove all the plastics ;)
Could perhaps arm yourself with Halfords finest literature and go to work with the spanners ?
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news
I'm curious how many special editions this one's going to get - and if they will correct any wrongs of the first.
Didn't the 197 have gearbox recall's and that's just a manual that they have been cranking out for years ? This DSG business sounds like it's...
Well code reader arrived and it connected to the ECU fine, couldn't see any stored faults though so perhaps the ECU is fine and seeing what it needs.
Must be a dodgy connection somewhere.
Mick - I have a receipt from 2009 for a car from an auto electric place with the following "Voltage drop...
Hi, Mick
I believe this was the first thing he checked, the spades seem to have a little green on them but otherwise ok - Will try swapping them over from the 1.4
I've had to sorn it yesterday and arrange another way to work, the cars literally in bits at the moment.
Hi, all
On the back of http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?649475-HELP-! I really need some advice on where to go next, I've ordered a code reader to see if it will communicate with the ECU - at the moment the car will crank and fuel just not spark (Or in my case not strong enough)...
Cheers mate, yeah im properly stuck sadly. My uncle came over a min ago and he said he thinks the ECU has had it :/
Has anybody else had experience of an ECU going ?
I've tried the map sensor, the air intake sensor and the crank sensor from my 1.4 and it's changed nothing - also pulled the entire loom out and followed the coilpack power back to the ECU and there are no cuts or breaks in the wire.
Ive got a knock sensor, oil temp sensor and the lambada left...
Ok im almost certain it's an electrical fault, just tried the connectors one by one and when trying to start it sounded like it was slightly picking up and then a big loud pop (Probably a backfire out the inlet as it has no box on at the moment)
I fear the heavy rain we have had recently may...
