Updated mine yesterday using the toolkit from USB, supprisingly a painless experience. For some reason though benchmark tests are showing it as running at 170 mb/s so really not sure if it's fubar.
Ive got the same beef with the Agi 3 (Shares Sandforce controller with the vertex I believe) every now and then I get a DMI pool data error - Pain in the ass!
God I feel old, got my big water 775 system about 4-5 years ago and still going strong, never ever had any issues with it and my reasoning at the time of purchase was heavy overclocking in a silent case, managed to get my 1.6 dual core to 3.4 stable :clap:

If you can black your room out enough I can guarantee you will have no quarrels with the quality of a full HD projector, I paid about 1k for mine including a 87" screen and it's been treated to a bit of Forza 4 all weekend with Kinnect... Epic

I believe the 1.2 and 1.4 use completely different engines, to be honest the 1.4's can be a little unfriendly on fuel and the tax is a little high - if I had to choose again I'd probably get a slower DCi.
