Thats a lot cheaper than it used to be, sure I got quoted either £99 or £109, was a couple of years ago though, at that price its far better to get existing one repaired
I ended up buying a 2nd hand uch/ecu kit and swapping everything over as it worked out cheaper. I was going to use tachosoft but ended up doing the above a lot cheaper than repairing the existing uch
I get thats its not the cheapest nor easieat job to have done (or do yourself) but whats it going to cost to potentially replace the car ?? if it is your daily then why not be preventative and have it sorted before you run into more problems, yes they're fun and can be found cheap enough...
Should only be one jubilee clip as the other side screws into the airbox. A split certainly won't help, and from memory shouldn't there be a sensor in the hole to the left of jubilee/tape temp repair.
I'll have a look at the mrs dci when she gets home to double check for you
Have you changed any of the lines into the master cylinder, or disturbed it at all? If so I'd doubke check these first, if not then there well be an issue, whether thats coincidence or indeed due to bleeding is hard to say without being there at the time, if it is damage to the master cylinder...
So as per the title I have a family member that can get some dz03's but they're 215 50 15, they are used but having always run on 888's I fancy a change and wondered if anybody else had any experience?
Currently not running any spacers or extra camber and would be mounted on OZf1's, I do have...
If it is a hose thats come off then it should be relatively easy to find, a split pipe is normally a nightmare and usually having a 2nd person around helps to locate if theres nothing obvious (if a hose is split you'll only hear the hiss when applying throttle and making the turbo work which...
Nothing wrong with a bit of colour, I've got red mirrors, rub strips, cage and will soon have the wheels and roof scoop the same as well. I agree that having a sun strip all orange may be a tad overpowering but it's all personal taste at the end of the day, if you like it then that's all that...
I can't get the video to play unfortunately but you'll be surprised just how much movement there is even if the dogbone looked ok, personally I'd never but a standard one again. I swapped mine out for an evol race dogbone mount, which whilst it is extremely harsh and vibrates like mad it has...
If the dogbone bushes are old/worn they will allow the engine/gearbox to 'rock' more than normal when under load (ie changing gear or coming on/off power etc), if the bushes are worn badly enough this extra movement can cause the exhaust manifold to knock against the front sunframe giving you an...
Have you been sent the correct ones? Sounds like you've got the halogen version (h4/h7) rather than d2s. I'd start off by checking part numbers in the box against invoice and then contact whoever supplied them
You'll need to add a fused power supply and earth to the steering ecu (middle plug), the third plug will come with the ebay variable resistor, then its a case of following the instructions supplied and voila job done. By using the ebay resistor you bypass the normal system Renault used for epas...
If you were to take the wire from the airbag lamp illumination, cut it and piggyback it to another warning lamp that comes on and off with ignition (I only say abs as it's the first one that springs to mind) would that not bypass the warning lamp? And the lights come on and off together? The...
You've taken out every wire @Ben NBR Cup? My thought was if it still stays on then I'll piggyback into the warning lamp for the abs so they'll come on and off together, my understanding though is that if all airbag associated wiring is gone then theres no power to the warning lamp? Maybe wrong...
You sure they haven't sent you the wrong subframe? I ordered a drivers side direct from cobra and had this exact problem, yet it's fitted perfectly on pass side
Mobile key specialist? The last garage I let work on my car f#$@ed the imobiliser up (according to them it just happened) and they had a specialist out who did whatever they do, and cut/programmed a spare key for £65, I guess that if you only wanted it coding it would be cheaper
I have this simplified one, the principle is the same though just with less components than the sport versions.
16 is the airbag ecu
17, 18, 19, 20 are airbags
I'm basically doing exactly what @barnesautos has done, debating piggybacking the warning lamp into the abs wiring so it still illuminates (hate having warning lights on even though the car isn't road legal)
Top work, I've just picked up a second loom to start playing around with and ditching everything that's not needed. I'm hoping to lose all the airbag odds in one go ;)
