I would assume that they could all be turned off using clip? I'm in the process of modifying a spare loom to see what I can do, although my car isn't road legal and gets trailered to the track now so I'm in a different boat to most with regerds to mot/road standards
I did mine last weekend, took about 20 minutes a side (I took mine off the car as well as they were really bad) and couldn't believe how well they came up
That's the one, was in devizes. Ended up buying myself for a mate, literally just got it running earlier today after swapping engine over and doing belts and dephaser
Polishing the headlights makes a huge difference doesn't it @Damon65
Apologies for hi jacking, does look to be a nice clean example and well done finding the issue and not having to swap the engine
@Alastair. are you on about the one from a couple of weeks back that was 750 buy it now?
This is something I've been tempted by, not sure if I'd go with an unbranded one though. Whilst I can't stand paying extra just for a name I'm not sure that something like this can be scrimped on. I've used JJC before and had no issue with anything I've bought, purely just my opinion
If there's no resistance (ie with track rods disconnected) then it'll be harder to tell. I'd assume either pas motor or ecu rather than the rack as I'd expect there to be a definite tight spot or clunk etc if the rack were playing up although someone else may be able to confirm better than I...
Could be either from my experiences, the system is recognising a fault, hence you having the lights on, without having a look it's almost impossible to say whether the sensor or the abs ring is at fault
Pop the silver trims off from either side, and also the upper part of the steering cowling, then its a case of taking out the run of screws exposed, theres also 3 along the top of the dash in the vent for demisting the windscreen and a plastic screw each side to come off. Then a case of easing...
Could well be top mount, best off jacking the front end up and checking to see if they move freely, worth just double checking theres nothing else thats affecting it either
There might not be much on here but have a look on google and there'll be plenty. To cut a long story short Renault used a damming tape from factory (its mainly foam based) and over time it breaks down allowing water to seep through.
It may be that its justvthe drains thatbare blocked, theres...
Here you go bud, item 81 is the boot light unit. In fairness it's a relatively simple circuit to diagnose, if you've got a multimeter just check there's a good source of power. I expect that either the bulb is loose in the holder or the connections are corroded (esp if there's ever been a water...
As for wiring, there should be 7 wires going into the connector. A live (red), earth (black) and a feed from aerial (grey I think). There should also be 2 blue and 2 orange, these were tied into the rear speakers.
