Carl, you are definitely fitting 197 cams in my 182 when the belts are due.

Do the compression test wet with a bit of oil down each cylinder and see if it changes. Probably is the valve stems though, like you say it's been like that for ages.

I would guess valve stem seals, but I don't know.

Bet they loved you over there! Renault Sports are quite rare over there really due to high tax, I always get looks in the 182 when in Le Mans.

I've not heard of blown mk2's for ages, where are all these? Can't see it being a problem with 630cc's. More like fuel pump failure or low fuel on track.

ET35 is bang on in terms of looks really.

Just so you know, -1.5 as a decimal degree is actually 1° 30' on a hunter alignment in degrees, minutes and seconds. If it said 1° 50' on a hunter system, that's actually 1.83° decimal. Just to confuse you :tonguewink:
