    Brake Squeak/Squeel

Should just be a smooth bar so the whole exhaust can slide backwards and forwards freely in the rubber.

    Brake Squeak/Squeel

You mean how the rubber is being pushed over? Looks like the bit that goes in to the mount has a stop/washer type thing which is pushing the rubber over. Mine is just the bar without any stop on it.

Use a jack to support the centre section. Also get a new centre mount from Renault, it's a newer updated rubber which is red. Less than £10.

    Impact Guns

Check the tapers where the bolts seat against to see if it's painted/coated.

    Impact Guns

Depending on the torque rating of the gun, you shouldn't really be ramming the bolts on with it. 105-110Nm is enough to hold them on. If they're coming loose then either the wheels or hub threads are knackered.

I have the Pagid pads from Euro in mine. They're silent. They have a rubber type backing on them too, so that probably helps a bit.

Sluggish 182 compared to one that's done double the miles?

Have a side by side race with your mate from 30-70, if he pulls away by quite a bit then yours is not right.

Sluggish 182 compared to one that's done double the miles?

You could stick it on a dyno and see what it makes, preferably one that is reputable in your area. Pure Motorsport may be able to check it for you, they're in Cornwall. Or possibly Dan at SJM Automotive in Street near Glastonbury.

Poor timing can be a killer on these. Seen them make as low as 130-140bhp with messed up timing.

    Clio driving advice/tips

The only way to lose the back end on these in the dry is too much entry speed in the corners.

    Clio driving advice/tips

Don't lift off? They're not that bad tbh, only when it's wet can they be a bit playful. If it does step out just mash the throttle.

    Alternator problem

There's no adjustment in the tensioner, it's a self tensioning spring.
