Pity you don't offer them anymore, I spoke to Bilstein about making them for me but from what I could tell they wanted you to push them through manufacture again after Yozza seised trading.
Quick rub down with scotchbrite for a key and then paint it, warm the exhaust right through before moving off as it will bake the paint on.
Was it actual VHT paint or just some generic high temp stuff? I guess you won't know as you never done it.
Going forward ph2 panels will be easier to get plus I'm almost certain cups have slightly different strut tops.
As Tony said though its going to need loads of work over the winter, it would be better time and money spent throwing it all in a nice fresh ph2 shell IMO.
VHT black..... sorted, it grabs onto things better than stonechip paint I have used in the past plus stonechip is slightly rubberised and could go on fire.
You could use the standard stuff in a heavilly modified version but you will need a hole in the roof for your head to go through, you want a set of base frames and then sliders.
I have both of these that I will be removing off my car this week, I could even include all the right eye bolts to...
Make sure your going REALLY slow in a clockwise direction on the crank, its best to get someone to help although just possible yourself. It will drop in a few times into the crank web balancing holes but you will know when it goes into the timing slot as it goes deeper. Make sure you check it by...
Clio's have reached that age where their involvement in club racing is multiplying hugely, they would be stupid to miss out on a trick IMO. If you speak to all these lesser known company's (in the mainstream) most of them have already had a play with a Clio years ago.
And me also, that's very rare circumstances you had there but I do agree that I love the RS-R's although when part worn with the lightest of standing water it becomes a bum clencher.
The OP states he has 888's which are a tyre that can be driven from bone dry (although they go off after a few...
Of course but they're a wet tyre, you just take it easy on whatever tyre you have on in an intermediate situation and enjoy the more focused tyre when conditions are right?
At a trackday/club level wets would stand up alright for a drying session I would say, they take half a race at an national/international level to go off.
There is a lot to be said for the RS-R's and that type of tyre which are just a great all rounder but it will only do both to a mediocre...
I do know AST are awful to deal with direct sometimes but you seem to get better results going directly to them, its not possible for half the country to go visit a shop (which will usually be in central England) so it has little to no benefit having a shop for most IMO??
Nitron or any of the elite suspension firms will make you something if you want it, it doesn't need to be available in a magazine or web shop.... the prices are surprisingly good for a fully custom setup with company's I have spoken too when compared to AST 1's and 2's which have became an easy...
Didn't even need bait on the hook hahaha.
I honestly think a similar time was in this car without stripping/coilovers. Set of good semis would have done it I'm sure.
Round the car park? They won't like that much.
No point anyway, my almost road spec car handles your ph1 track beast ;)
Mines chips and curry sauce haha.
That's the plan mate
Saves confusion with the difference to my email spelling.
Early next year hopefully, depends what kind of winter we get as the board will be out before long which is another distraction and it will stop testing if it drags on.
Aye you can have a shot no bother round...
