Just cut the plastic pipe that goes from the left hand side of the engine (looking from the front) down to under drivers headlight and plug the pipe close to the engine, disconnect the other end of the pipe at the carbon canister and remove the canister if you want.
Do the test first though as...
Crack on with it if you can get the parts cheap and can do your own work or get a hand...... why not. I also modded my first car to within an inch of its life, did it make me money, probably not, did all mods serve a purpose, definitely not, did I enjoy it, yes. Some people enjoy working on and...
If you want to do it buy a complete sport rear beam and handbrake cables as it will work out cheaper, you would be best to get sport rear brake pipes too and the proportioning valve as it will all just bolt on I expect.
No Fred's ways is easier as it removes the vacum from the system so will stop the clicking if its coming from there, it may rev the engine up a little bit removing the pipe with the engine running.
Quick way to tell is remove the plug on the carbon canister, it will bring on the engine light but don't worry, check the noise has gone and reconnect it.
Buy a RARB it will actually do something to suspension geometry.
There is nothing to be gained by a rear brace unless you plan on crashing your car and want the strut tops to hold up a little better.
Yeah its normal you will usually get another couple with age around 3k and 5k. Its the harmonic vibrations the engine puts out.
take the dash apart and tighten/secure everything in that area.
No....f**k em, I'll do what I want lol. I'm not going to listen to some hyped up do gooder's that s**t roses and better humanity on a daily basis. Must be hard being perfect all the time.
The guy you bought the ITB's from?!? If you plan to match it you need a very thin pencil grinder to get in about, I got fed up after a while tbh.
Edit: I'm thinking this is for a Clio. Yeah Jenvey's stuff still has sand casting marks on them, they do offer CNC gasket matches etc from factory if...
I had similar with Clio one, I port matched everything inc the ITB's to manifold and opened out my 45mm parallel ITB's to a 48mm x 120mm trumpets.
Is your manifold the type with o-ring on the mating face? Also why didn't you use the manifold from Mark?
So you had to cut the timing back again? Same as with your old inlet?
Iirc the 438's don't have as big an overlap compared to 421's and are advanced or retarded in timing marks for better idle, did the guru' say 421's or 422/3 would have been better suited?
I looked for your thread but can't...
Welcome, the closest is Memsie garage Fraserbrugh or Mackie motors Brechin depending which side you stay on.
Look in the trader section for Renault Wolverhampton, you wont get cheaper parts even with delivery on top and they actually know the cars.
No read back a few posts and you'll see that.
Calm down fat boy ;) its a comparison as RDH referenced 100mph times (1/4 mile terminal times)
Gaz they feel slow but give me any other N/A 2 litre car that does a 14's 1/4 mile, there ain't a lot.
Anyway its gotten way off topic, i'm out.
You...
I'm not an 18 year McDonald's regular either that does the traffic light grand prix nightly. Having been around/driven both, the Golfs ain't all that. Different strokes for different folks.....
Its common knowledge on here Clio's will do 14-15's quarters.
edit: What's the real world Gaz? I'm...

mk 5 Golf and they're not getting any lighter 161bhp per ton
http://fastestlaps.com/cars/vw_golf_mk_v_r32.html
Clio 182, the heaviest of all Clios 165bhp per ton

S3 that was referenced 156bhp per ton...
Point to point would be a bit of mixed driving, straights and corners.
I agree they're nice cars both the golfs, better all round cars for sure and i'm no Clio fan boy either (they're just my toys) but I just don't get the CS fascination with the r32's I really don't, of my 3 friends who's...
