If your wanting proper ITB's then you want Jenvey which come in different diameters and tapers so your chosen trumpets will need to maych them. Jenvey could advise best on the diameter best suited to your setup but almost certainly the 120mm length (the longest that will fit on a clio...
Like I said, point to point the clio will have the golf licked, if it was a 3rd gear 40mph low rpm blast well the golf is going to win.
My point wasn't about f4r's having masses of torque as they don't, it was that a car with big torque, small power and big weight can be very deceptive...
You think that, torque is a funny thing mate. Most will swear their diesel 'feels' quicker than such and such but there's a difference between feel and fact.
I think your confusing point to point and in gear acceleration performance, of those two the golf will be better at the later being a turbo and having loads of torque. On the flip side if you had a race with the Clio sitting at 4-5k just before its peak torque band then it would have the edge.
Does it even serve a purpose? Is there any terminals to connect it to? I don't think there is.
You need a ph1 stalk to keep the horn for after market wheels on clio's as far as I know.
Just buy a Pipercross filter Marc with the same dimensions if you know them, they're always the best quality filters.
They will have a list of filter sizes on the net.
tbh it looks like a Pipercross filter anyway.
£500 excess for a 9 year NCB protected driver? get that changed next year mate. She'll get the minimum excess they offer with that much driving under her belt and it will have very little affect on the premium if any.
I was in the same boat until lately where I had been with Elephant for years...
What you mean fake 4 wheel drive? Its still a split between the wheels if its anything like the old S3's and handle worse than a FWD or RWD too. Same with most vag quatro's infact.
I could quite believe it sponge, everyone on here's got a boost hard on yo'
4wd only gets you off the line quick and then it just drinks power from then on.
I do know Sandy was trying to tune them for low down power to avoid going high rpm and buying these Gucci finger followers for the top end, looks line they have only fitted solid lifters and kept the revs fairly low.
The price on this is going to bring water to your eyes, its going to have a...
Re: My PH1 172
That lot wasn't cheap, I done similar with my rear beam when I had it off and I almost died when I seen the invoice break down. The rear beam to chassis bolts were about £10 each and there's 6
Off course but I would rather re shell a 3-4 year old race car that's in need of a tidy up (Tonys words) than put quarters and sills on one with the price of a shell. Front end swap needs different panels to be done right.
Straight swap over, nothing else needed except the ignitors and ballasts which should be attached to the lights.
Technically they are an MOT failures without washer jets and a self levelling device on the axle, don't worry though.
Well I bit the bullet and done the update on my iPhone just now, have to say I'm not keen but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The iPads staying as is for the foreseeable future.
The lower control panel while browsing is really glitchy, there seems to be no set way for it to stay or go away. I...
It look a bit agricultural for a road car but a finessed version could be okay.
As said, just chop the linkage down a bit, shorter shift pin and a straighter shorter version of what you have and that would be a nice budget upgrade.
This pic should help with what you should be chopping...
If your wanting max camber/caster then the strut nuts need to be pointing towards the gearstick, max caster towards the rear and max camber towards each strut top.
You will only get their quoted 1.4 deg of adjustment in any one direction, if you want a mix of caster and camber from them then...
They just wanted you's (still thought Yozzasport was trading at that point) to be the one that pushed the kit, maybe that was their reasoning.
They were a bit useless to me in that case but they put me onto Ohlins who have 2 or 3 way inserts that slot straight into billie casings.
