you will be fine, Id look at the Federal 595 RS-R's very very similar in performance and cheap. Great tyre. As for standard springs you will have more body roll due to the increased grip levels.

I know push-rods mean less unsprung mass as a general rule we have it on our racing car. Just because a car has push-rods doesn't make it a better overall piece of design though ;)
Ill give you the fact the engine is in the correct place but thats where it ends. All you have to do is spend 5 minutes with a Porsche GT* variant and as an automotive engineer you will clearly appreciate the higher quality of engineering in the Porsche.
