Re: Ph1 172
Nightmare... My cup has the same caster as your car and most others I have seen have had up to 3 deg caster.
4 deg caster and 3 deg camber sounds better ;) my car uses every bit of its 4 deg camber when it folds over in the corners.
Waiting on this weekends footage patiently....
Just watched the Mallory coverage, very poor for the French Trophy?!? At least you got the best of the weekends racing weather wise, Sunday afternoon was moist.
Re: Ph1 172
Lovely car Tom, similar spec to mine (minus the engine/box mods) and they're great fun like this if not a little soft.
Good plans although I would recommend getting a cup subframe for more camber and then AST's for caster.
Haha In the morning aye untill my disks turned to a prawn cracker shape.
Trackscotland, SIDC or any private booked or club track day would be good for a beginer, your worries soon go when you start lapping.
Good day again, I must have racked up about 150 too, warped disks, bad suspension knock and cracked windscreen to sort out now :dapprove:
That 205's rear mirror must have been broken, hope I didn't get in too many folks way driving like a loon.
That's rubbish what happened to Dan, a paper part...
If you have a passenger in the car then at the gate when asked you have the car double booked ;);)
Knockhill's relaxed with sign on etc, turn up whenever really, you will always get signed on and brief from someone.
K-Tec kit is very reasonably priced tbh, I have two sets of PMS studs on my cars and had no issues, one with 10mm spacers all round and one without.
You wouldn't fit Motorsport studs with standard wheels really as it defeats the purpose for me, I would just buy cheap studs in that case, the...
I'm best not convoying I'll be late for my own funeral, don't want to hold you up.
John don't be soft, how much used track rods do you have lying around, string the car before you take it off and put it back to the same measurements, half hour at most for DJW.
Its a really clean standard trophy with a turbo fitted, not 10k worthy despite what the owner will have spent having someone build it and feel's its worth. One good point is the low milage everything that's been fitted to it according to the advert.
Yeah that's a benefit, saves £30-£40 in getting tyres swapped if you dint have the facility's. I know of one set available at £120 each in 205/50/15 but that is just a one off as I haven't seen much of them for less than £200.
You can't do that with proper harnesses, I.e 4, 5 or 6 point
This argument comes up all the time, the specs that are knocking about are IDEALS, MSA scrutineer's will pass that for sprinting, hillclimbs etc where no cages are permitted.
