Yes there will be a small clip built into the plug, might be a bit fiddly with it in situ. Failing that just pull it (pump) towards the front of the car as much as possible with the plug still attached and pull up, the pump will come out.
Get physical with the wipers first though (above method...
You haven't even had the tracking done? I'll bring a spare set of Yoko's for after your first session Gaz.
Kwik fit do it for £44 and you can watch them do it/do it yourself as they let me do. Much cheaper than anywhere else and they can't lie with a print out.
From where you are, take the plug out the pump, pair of pliers and grab the pump and pull, job done lol.
Its only held in by friction and sealed with a grommet.
re-wipers, screw the nuts back on a few threads, hold a pulling tension on the wipers near the spindle..... lightly tap the spindle...
Cheers for the link Craig.
There was a good few photographers from Duffus through to Clarks (the best bit) throughout the day, I have yet to get any photos of my slides on any trackday through that section. Mind you it was pretty poor weather PFC at times though.
I was speaking to a guy at the weekend down Knockhill who owns the red Ktec turbo 197, he uses them and thinks there great. He has 18" wheels and gets them for something like £103, he does chuck them at road legal level as he thinks their performance drops off, I would too at £100 in 18"...
Did they spin bearings anymore than a road Clio though?!? It's a flaw of the F4R irrelevant of use afaic.
I agree with you though, belts and braces, for the £10 it will cost you why not.
Look into Syron race, Nankang NS-2R, Dmack 'track day tyres), silver stone FTZ Type RR.
^^^These names are some of the new manufacturers to the track day tyres, listed above are in the same class as Yoko AD08, Federal RS-R and then a step up is Yoko A048r's, 888's, Direzza's.
TBH after trying...
Only two months between updates this time, its getting better again.
I managed to clear up my lock up which makes it easier to so work do I thought I'd crack on. Put it up on the stands and it won't be coming down until it's going.
I test fitted the original loom to refresh my memory...
You want to phone Omex, they have all sorts of loom's, adaptor loom's, CPS brackets, Zetec ignition components and will recommend what to use and what's easiest/cheapest.
There's a good chance its this little clip pictured, it stops the window from tilting forward. They usually fall off and drop inside the door or get stuck in the window seal itself.
+1
I ran the OEM Megane Brembo pads (£30 pad) for two track days this year after fitting my callipers, I then went to DS2500 (£160 pads) and there wasn't a massive difference in performance, the brake fluid started to seep out the brake bottle with heat and I get a warp in the disks and melted...
Not this argument again, I have to brake first/longer compared to a mates Clio on RC6 so I think that's where the heat is coming from, I get a slight warp which then almost disappears after they are cold and normal driving resumes. Without appropriate cooling I think they will stay warped...
No idea tbh, I know the ph1's had big exhaust valves but that's it. There is slight differences in the cam cover/breather plates between the engines also, again which has what I'm not 100%.
They aren't a metalic pad so can't rust your wheels paintwork. I do track days and leave it baked on for a month sometimes, some g101 and a mitt and its off.
I find them mediocre in my Meg 225 callipers and they warp my disks slightly on track, the disks do straighten a bit when you do a cool...
They are Federal RS-R's with loads of life left. Its just the soft suspension and RARB that makes it lively. You will see I have two steering inputs at Duffus (first corner) on turn in when I slide, the car rolling that I catch which then starts the slide then I catch the slide itself. It helps...
^^^ exactly.
I'm in control of my car 95% of the time despite what it looks like, most of it is forced because I like doing so. If I felt that much in danger I wouldn't be doing it.
'The clique' has nothing to do with track driving although you would think most of you are police officers the way you harp on.
Show me where I potentially wrecked people's cars? I backed off through the yellow flags, stopped for reds. The potential is always there for an accident on track...
Was expecting something like that from 'the clique' another one that's up for a Darwin Award.
It's up to our selfs how we have fun on track, just try not to endanger anyone other than yourself.
