If that's the current spec of the 172 - I would fit some R888's and a whiteline rear ARB...
Proper little weapon.
If you had enough left over a 2nd hand set of bucket seats and some harnesses would be a benefit too
Oh yeah and steering wheel - I have no idea how anyone goes on track with the...
I would have thought a bit of warm air from the radiator will be a good thing to stop it over cooling the oil. It's where I'm thinking of positioning mine with thermostatic plate take off
Also LOL at not fitting them upside down - makes no difference at all, oils pumped round under pressure...
Squirt with wd40
Smack with rubber hammer all around it in various directions to break the rust/seal
Also if you get hold of the brackets on the backbox and twist it - it'll start to loosen up
It's usually a case of twisting/pulling/smacking and eventually it'll fall off or hit you in the...
Must admit I think I'd do what Swede has suggested
Get it mounted higher up so it's in front of the gear lever and reachable, should be able to do it by just making a raised platform for it
Yeah it already does as the fluid in the reservoir was getting way too hot at Donington lol
I can understand that - but I only want low boost
I'm building a swirl pot setup in the spare wheel well this year anyway just to be safe when running sticky tyres and cornering hard. Hopefully...
I don't need better brakes - got 4 pots. I don't need better suspension - got brand new KW V2's on there, all polybushed etc...
The only thing I think I will "need" is a diff - which I will buy around christmas time when the cup engine comes out.
Send the gearbox off for a rebuild with a diff...
I'm sorry but using Steam as an example is pretty bad when the head of Steam the other day famously said that TV consoles and interactive TV's like the new Apple TV that's coming out will kill pc gaming dead
So much so that Steam are releasing their own console LOL
PC's with dedicated graphics...
If you do any work with the NHS they mostly still use IE6 :(
Microsoft operating systems are such a massive t**t to work with. They need to pack up producing them. Everything else uses webkit in the background. Microsoft continuously spewing out shitty non-compliant badly thought out web...
That's lovely but to be honest it's just a sales speech from an MS employee
Yes it's difficult for companies to move 50,000 windows machines and their are costs involved, but in a lot of cases the costs are lower than the ridiculous support/licensing fees from MS.
If "difficult to migrate"...
Yup me too - I was pretty sceptical about cloud storage and cloud computing... but it really has taken off and left a lot of companies struggling to keep up
Currently about 60 but looking to triple that this year
I have quite a wide network over the years of sysadmins and you wouldn't believe how many people are migrating
Everything is going "cloud" just look at CRM solutions like salesforce and document solutions like google drive + google docs...
Seriously - they will
40million people playing League of Legends is still less than the active subscribers on xbox live. Then there's the xbox players who aren't online, and PS3 players, and Wii etc...
As for PC Gaming supporting the PC industry - utter nonsense.
America alone has over...
Hahah I asked my misses if I could turbo the 172 and her exact words were "you b*****d I wanted to build a turbo'd 182"
So now we're in discussions about her sharing my car lol
Again purely to keep the car on the road while I build a 2nd engine
I suppose I could just buy the turbo bits and pile them all up in the garage during summer, then in October pull the cup lump out, paint it all up, replace bottom end shells and fit ARP bolts etc... but it's done 120k -...
Purely mileage mate - I figured it would be a lot easier to get a 60k 182 engine with fresh belts and dephaser, than a low mileage well looked after ph1 engine
If I was doing a full engine rebuild I'd buy a ph1 - but I don't have the budget for that really
It's all about the mapping. My mates...
Yep - when you take the top of the dash off you can see 3 metal screws going into the bars behind the dash
Each of them has an earth cable on them
If you undo those screws (which you should only really do to remove the bottom of the dash) it's fairly easy to forget to put them back and...
Don't get me wrong - I LOVE track days. But they're always £150+, plus £100 in fuel, and if I'm doing Anglesey/Oulton it's another £120 in fuel etc...
Then brake wear and tyres on top. Realistically for £3k you're talking 6 track days
I'd love to tow the car but that's a £1k trailer and a £400...
Dan - no idea chap. Last time I was on track I had bilsteins and I hated them, too soft. I got a bargain on some virtually new KW V2's in October - fitted them November but it's had no insurance or mot since lol
I'm hoping to get it back on the road end of the month then head to Blyton for a...
Wanna stick your engine in mine? Got KW V2's, Wilwoods, Polybushed all round lol
:)
I don't know much about turbos so not sure what's safe regarding 2nd hand items
Ferodo DS2500's on mine
Mines the kit with 300mm AP rotors and jamsport bells - rather than the 283mm discs but I don't think that'll make much difference to the stopping power, just a bit better at cooling
There are some shocking photos this month - considering the theme is movement the majority are high shutter speed frozen shots with no sense of movement at all :(
